Encouraged by both of these developments. Khusnutdinov will be a very welcome addition to the bottom 6. I believe it is an honor to have Fluery finish the year with us. People need to try and catch him in person this season. Rare HOF legend that we need to fully appreciate. And a great person on top of that.
Would still like to see some moves around the bottom defensive pairing. I cannot take much more of the Merrill & Mermis show. Bring Hunt or Lambos up and let them learn. They need to step up next season anyway.

As a wild fan Marat Khuznudinov coming here and burning the first year of his deal doesn’t bother me at all. Look to the future, play you’re young talent. Take Johansson or Gaudreau out, please don’t take out some of the young guys like Lucchini, Dewar, or Duhaime. On the note of Duhaime if you can get a haul for him I guess but I really like the kid. If he does end up getting traded it’s a great pick up for any team actually contending. The Marc Andre Fleury thing is what it is. Would it have been nice to get a decent draft pick and build for the future, yeah. But I am never going to complain about seeing a first ballot Hall of Famer. Hopefully he plays in the game I’m going to see on Saturday

My only concern with Khusnutdinov is Hynes. Hynes hasn't done Rossi any favors by putting him on the 4th line and with guys like Lucchini and Lettieri. He won't end up with Kaprizov because Boldy/Ek/Kaprizov already have tons of chemistry with each other. I'm hoping he ends up on a line with Zucc and Rossi.
I think the Wild are about to go form having center problems to have 3 real good centers
