Sellers baby, we shouldn’t be getting series swept by the Jets

Losing to these playoff team and or bubble teams are going to make Doug’s trade deadline decisions for him. Which I don’t hate. We have no reason to buy or not actively sell anything off that we could get assets to be competitive in 2-3 years.

Toropchenko playing his ass off out there. Why can’t our top 6 show even half of his urgency?

Welp, unless they by some miracle they go on some random little run again that’s probably it for playoff hopes. Losing 5 of your last 7 right when the wild card race is heating up just shows they’re not ready to play on that intense level.

Solidly in the sell category now. Only guys I wouldn’t trade are Thomas, Neighbors, Parayko, Binner, Torpedo and maybe Hofer. I’m not including guys that are up and down from Springfield.

I’m not giving up hope, but I think tonight was the likely end of our playoff chances. DA is going to sell, sell, sell! and that’s not going to be good for morale.

Fare thee well Buchy! You were well liked.

Krug, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

It’s like this team never came back to work after all star break. Before that we were playing right. Direct, hard on pucks and sticks,up the middle. Creating opportunities and cashing in. charging the net, dirty areas. Resilient, having fun, playing as a team. Working hard for 3 periods.

Now we seem disjointed. Regressing into bad habits. Over thinking. Our D the last few games. Playing to the outside in the o zone. Drop passes. Hesitation and poor decisions especially on odd man rushes. A few bad goals just shows how great our goal tending has been.

6 points back from a wc and falling.

hunches that make me sad:Bannister experiment may have run its course. Kyrou thriving to his potential someday on another team. DA cashing in and blowing it up because he can’t resist. and why the fuck not. That’s his job right? and it’s not easy.

Stoked to see how Binner does tomorrow. Love that fucker. Never thought I’d grow so fond of Leddy. He was a warrior tonight. Find that groove again boys. I’ve seen some games this season that were better than I thought they were capable of. That’s what’s so frustrating. Hockey gods how will thou forsaken us.

Thanks for reading my Bluminations. LETS GO! FUCK!

  8. We simply suck right now. Effort level is horrible across the board

Most depressing thing is we have guys like Krug and Hayes locked in for multiple years still and they are only getting older and worse. Blues may be unwatchable next year.

    Nice little tilt between Schenn/Lowry.

Great sportsmanship by Lowry at the end.

Blues need to be sellers at the deadline, we’re not competitive enough.

  11. Leddy passed the puck directly to the other team about 5-6 times tonight.

  12. Not sure I was watching the same game as some folks. Lack of effort? This was one of the best 60 minutes of effort I’ve seen! (Well, maybe more like 50 minutes. Once again, slow to start.) The problem wasn’t effort, it’s talent. And we all knew this going into this season, and we know they haven’t made any significant changes towards that end just yet. Why are y’all crying like we’re squandering a season as Cup contenders? We’re exactly where most people—including the team—thought we’d be: fighting for a wildcard. Winnipeg, however, is a legit Cup contender. What you watched was an inferior team trying very hard to beat a more talented team, and not being good enough to pull it off.

I can say from experience, you’ll enjoy your fandom much more when you have a realistic grasp of your team’s capabilities.
