The Minnesota Wild lost their third straight game to the Winnipeg Jets and saw their 5 game point streak snapped as they lost 6-3 to the Winnipeg Jets Tuesday in Winnipeg. The Jets scored two goals in a 14 second span to take a 2-0 lead in the first period. The Jets added another goal early in the second period to make it 3-0, before the Wild cut the deficit to 3-1 on Marco Rossi’s 16th goal of the season. The Jets scored two straight goals to start the third, and added an empty netter to seal the scoring after Kirill Kaprizov scored his 24th of the season and Rossi added his second of the game to make it 5-3. Nino Niederreiter scored an empty netter to seal the win. Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 24 of 29 shots in the loss. The Wild will face Edmonton on Friday for their next game.

I will defend Johansson somewhat that at least he's got 25 points most of them being assists. If he is generating Assist points then I dont think he's much of a problem but he seems to be on a bit of a skid cause he's either not getting good passing opportunities or the guys on his lines arent hitting the net. he's been on the lines with boldy too over January. I will also say, Anyone who thinks the Wild had a chance against this Winnipeg Jets team is on something good.
Rossi’s minutes were added at the end of game as a reactive approach. He was definitely BURIED ON THE BENCH w fourth Liners. Atleast give them second line minutes for effort
Neither Dewey can handle or shoot the puck. Beckman and Shaw need a damn chance. Hynes and Guerin are wasting this lost season not learning what they have in cupboards. Ugh
The Wild look like an AHL team against a true NHL team when they play the Jets. They would be lucky to win one game against them in the playoffs.

As a jet fan I think this is a pretty good minne team but aren't you a little hard on yourself when you have 14 mil in dead cap space. I mean that is two top six forwards or defensemen
I find it interesting that when a player puts in the time, effort and commitment results follow. (Rossi) I know each player has a ceiling and different skill sets but those core attributes can endear a player to the fans. (Shaw). I enjoy watching these players win or lose. Please Mn Wild management only sign and keep players willing to give a solid effort consistently.
I give you guys credit you can sit through a game and not throw up when you give us the highlights. I saw the highlights and had to hit the bathroom. Let’s be frank this team is flat out one of the least entertaining teams since the dark days of the Wolves in the mid 2000’s 😱. Let’s check back in the 25’ and 26’ season to see if Billy Guerin’s theory of buying out Parise and Suter then stockpiling draft picks actually worked. I’m skeptical but at this point the devil his due until the end of the 24’ and 25’. Billy put all his eggs in one basket starting in the 25’ and 26’. I’m only sad the media and fan base don’t hold The Vikings to the same standards they hold The Wild and their braintrust. It’s so painful to watch these teams that I now only watch highlights which really is an oxymoron these days.
Need some kind of scoring depth, they are getting all their scoring from 5 guys. Also need to defend these shots from distance, Fleury and Gus have been getting killed by screens and tips.
The Wild are one of the poorest shooting teams when it comes to lone-breaks, open looks, as they miss the net and can’t finish – ALL the time. Bowness and DeBoer have fingered out the Wild, slicing them up every game now as it’s any style they want to play that works. They can out muscle them, out finesse them, out goalie them, whatever style they want on a given night, always equaling a WIN for the Jets – Stars. The biggest concern is the goaltending lately, as they are giving up 2-3 soft goals every night. They make some phenomenal saves then proceed to give up a goal like Winnipeg’s second goal .14 seconds after their PP goal. It’s time to sit some vets, Freddy is doing absolutely zero, I actually thought Johansson played a solid game last night but can’t ever finish so he is sit-able as well. Licchini should sit, bring up Shaw, add in Beckman for Freddy or Johansson, and don’t be afraid to sit duhaime, dewar, even a Hartman as they all have been inconsistent. I do think the Jets will regret letting Chisholm go and keeping Stanley. As for Stanley, nice TKO for Middleton, great to see….you guys are punch drunk tonight, hilarious!
I wrote this yesterday before the game: "I hate predicting scores, but I'll say 5-3 loss for the Wild. half the team will give up by the 2nd period…so I'd probably expect to see a sizeable gap, like 4-1 or 3-0 early for the Jets. The Wild will make it a game, but not a very good one."

Seth…..Unrelated……..Parise said he is retiring the end of this season….You should try and figure out what the Cap Recapture penalty is for early retirement had he not been bought…. (He would've had 1 more year 2024-25 under contract)
