Usually his focus is what can be done on the ice but this week he was also helping off of it.
> “…I think that’s something I’ve always valued about the Jets organization and Mr. Chipman is their commitment to the City of Winnipeg, their love for the city of Winnipeg. I think that’s another example of him (Chipman) trying to get players in a situation to interact with some of the great fans and be part of this community. It was a lot of fun.”

Bit off topic. He was at my daughters game last weekend, he was on the bench for the opposing team WJHA (Jets Hockey Academy, which I guess sponsors lower income families, which is awesome on its own). He was there for the whole game and after the game came into my daughters team’s room. I couldn’t make it but heard from others he couldn’t have been any nicer. I know Perfetti and Scheif have done similar for them. I don’t know if it’s in their contracts or what, but it’s such an amazing gesture by True North and the players themselves. I think there is a WJHA team for most ages and genders, so that’s a lot of volunteer time by the players. Really grateful and appreciative of all involved, that’s life long memories for some of those kids.
