  1. Whether it costs an asset, or retention we need to lock down a player for next year to plan ahead with more realistic options when it comes to (hopefully) extending Leon Draisaitl.
I have been moderately sold on Pavel Buchnevich but what I worry about with getting a player like that is how much it will cost Edmonton in terms of finding a RD or a possible 1B goalie. As much as I love Tarasenko and Eberle as players, I am not sure they would have as much of an impact on the current Oilers lineup. Tough choices this year.

Here's hoping Holland and his team can manage to steal another deal like Ekholms and not blindside us trading McDavid or something insane.

  2. Hey Austin, thx for the good work from germany! Not easy to watch any games here, as they are usually in the middle of the night. Agree on the need for a winger and a defenseman, but who should be given away except ceci? Campbell, Broberg and Ryan maybe, but who would trade for them? Recently i heard someone mentioned Foegele, but that would be a very bad move imho, regardless of him being a free agent after the season. Oilers just need that speed.

  3. I think the team is prime for a Cup run but the reality is Skinner will always be the second best in any 7 game series they have. I’m not saying they can’t win in spite of this but outside of Georgiev in Colorado (which is 50/50) he’s second to Hellebuyck, Oettinger, Demko, Hill, Saros and that’s just in the west

  4. Nurse is the one to go. With 9.25M salary he is just a physical D, no leadership on the ice, not driving offense, standing in front of the net 50% of the time watching, miss defensive coverage. Horrible at 9.25M.

  5. Get rid of Brown who is 715th in scoring. Even Rempe who has 20 minutes of ice time so far this season has MORE goals. Oh and so do 2 goalies Ullmark and Jarry. Brown is not NHL quality even if Jackson is his agent. Terrible signing.

  6. Hey Austin. Just want to let you know your doing a great job. You keep me up to date on oilers topics and game reviews. I appreciate the time and effort you put in ❤
