Very weak hooking call against us and then a couple minutes later on the same play there was a blatant trip and interference that the refs just chose not to call. You can’t entirely blame the loss on the refs, but you can give them a HUGE apple considering how good our PP and bad their PK is. The refs 1000% knew that, were attempting to dictate the outcome of the game, and succeeded. The coaches are getting fined for chirping refs, but when are refs going to be held accountable? Has anyone else noticed one sided calling since sports betting became legal? An investigation is in order.
The patch isn’t as egregiously ugly as I thought it would be, but I’m still mad. Let’s put an ad on the Mona Lisa next. Why not since we’re ruining works of art with corporate greed.

At 25:35 I agree with Scott. Putting the Wings Panthers games on ABC is intentionally forcing a national audience to watch a consistent cup contender go against a rebuilding team for 7+ years. It's meant to be an easy win like the Globetrotters playing a no name team. The narrative is predictable, if the Red Wings win it's because Florida played bad. If the Panthers win it's because they're so great. The whole game we'll be listening to how great all the Panther players are with player clips and interviews the whole time. I challenge ABC to surprise me and provide balanced sports broadcasting, but I'm not holding my breath.

I’m not one to blame the refs especially in the NHL they are usually pretty good but the ref where the difference maker’s absolutely worst officiating I ever seen they were always in the way, missed call after call for us than call a BS hooking on us, also it’s what you get for putting a fucking trash company on your uniform

I'm still blaming the patches, and I'll especially blame the patches if this kind of play continues for any significant stretch. You (being company sponsors, not you specifically) don't get to attach your hubris to a legendary emblem representing a storied franchise without curling a finger. It's such a shame.

Red wings lost almost every single puck battle. I couldn't believe my eyes. Everytime there was a puck battle along the boards in either zone islander came up with the puck 95% of the time! They were continously first to the puck! Wings had no puck management tonight. They went back to there old ways. Islanders forechecking was dominating the red wings. Turnovers galore! No forechecking whatsoever! That was December red wings hockey. They better nip this in the bud real quick. The wings are playing florida colorado coyotes then golden knights. Coyotes is winnable but with the red wings no game is just winnable. They can lose to anyteam but they can beat any team.
Go figure.

Love Walman. Not being a hater, but the lack of physicality in front of our own net is egregious. When Lyon has to defend himself from contact and screens it’s unacceptable. Gost had a great game vs the caps..but this game there were a few times where he was by a posses-able puck and just avoided possession to get back in position, really mind blowing.
The jersey patch is winless, time to retire the poorly designed experiment.
To be honest we all would have taken a 3 game winning streak, and they doubled it so cannot be upset
