I think people saying it's ridiculous is just a game to try to bring down the cost. But the price is set. If I were Dubas, I'd call their bluff and make a trade worthy of Guentzel and what he has meant to the penguins franchise.

Panthers made zero trades last season at the deadline. Only team to do so. Wouldn't be entirely surprised if that happens again however a couple trams are already stacking up

Trade Toffoli if the price is right and move on. Not sure who else they might have, but I can’t believe they think they’re only a goalie away with how many defensive mistakes I’ve seen them make in the games I’ve watched. Teams will eat them alive in the playoffs.

Laughton makes more sense to get traded in off-season when non-playoff teams would make a move. He is player you trade for to help change a culture so I think Buffalo or Ottawa would ideal partner in trade. I still believe the asking price remains at 1st rounder.
