Patrick Kane has been lighting up the NHL & the Detroit Red Wings have been reaping the benefits. After going through a serious hip surgery over the summer, many rightfully doubted whether or not Kane could return to form. We break it down in this video.

  1. I don’t know about lucky the wings are good right now look what they did to Colorado only thing struggling is defensemen we have to good ones usually and number 8 who’s name I can’t spell finally emerging but we have a good goalie a good offensive team and I think are a team who has most scoring depth

  2. An underrated part of Kane's game, as a smaller player, has been his ability to avoid getting beaten up physically over the years. The hip thing was a result of years of wear and tear, but through most of his career he avoided big injuries that resulted in many games missed. You can appreciate this more as you see the repeated injuries to a player like Jack Hughes, who is as close to vintage Kane as any player in the league, both in style of play and physical appearance. Unless Hughes manages to find the magic formula for avoiding the big hits the way Kane did he's going to have a short and ultimately disappointing career.

  3. Kane's entire career has been built around hockey IQ, hands, and the ability to be effective without putting himself in risky situations. He hasnt raced for the puck or engaged physically since he was young. He has always avoided risky situations as best as possible… as a Hawks fan i remember frequently being disappointed in him shying away from puck races or avoiding the puck if he sees he might get hit. But eventually i realized this is part of what makes him such a good player.

The way he plays the game makes him someone who will be a superstar until he retires. With his hip injury i never doubted how good hell be when he is healed, the only thing i would doubt is whether or not he can get through it

  4. The game winner at Chicago if you slow it down and watch him lock eyes with the goalie and then at the circles he looked straight right looking the pass (he knew nobody was there) that throws the goalie, then eyes locked back staring a hole in the goalies head he shows by his blade angle 5 hole in a half a second he rotates his hands opening the blade and roofs it. All of this in about 2.5 seconds. He is utterly among the very special. A talent so far beyond the rest of the league

  5. Sabres fans looking like complete idiots right now for all the hate they threw at this guy, which his family and friends saw on social media. Good job guys!

  6. I drafted him in my fantasy late and put him on the ir. They said i was dumb. Now im in first place lol

  7. The old man version of Kane is very efficient with his energy, which makes him look lazy. But he's not young anymore… he NEEDS to use his IQ to create advantages. Whereas the younger McDeuce and MacKinnon use their acceleration to create gaps, Kane "cheats" aka predicts possession changes. Great vid.

  8. Sega Genesis kid YES best score. 94 kid JR EA kid but? Truth SJ was ny team love Pancakes 😢 panther. I love Sharks!

  9. I miss Kane on Chicago so much. Tough seeing him in another jersey but I wish him and Detroit all the best. OG6 baby. Take care of 88

  10. The Hawks would have done well to keep him around just to mentor “The” Bedard. Or as they’re calling him now, “Ole Glass Jaw”.

  11. As a huge Datsyuk fan I get another chance to see an amazing creative HOF,what i missed since 2016. Kanes Jersey change to Red Wings helps also!

  12. The relatability to Patrick Kane's standpoint; whatever you do in life, it's got to be awesome to come back successfully, when everybody counts you out As washed up.

  13. always loved Kane but as a Ranger fan I am so pissed we got a one legged Kane and had him mess up the top 6 rotation when the team was more than capable without him. I also do not like how he disclosed all of this now and was not professional enough to take on a smaller role in NY to not break up the core chemistry. Fffffin scumbag he screwed the Rangers

  14. Third generation HAWKS fan here…..I was elated to see that OT game winner at the United Center! The poor management really screwed him over …The previous Blackhawks were finished as soon as Q was fired. He deserves much success and I'm happy he's doing what he loves …..and doing it really well!

  15. I've been a Wings fan since 1988, I was a Kane hater until the day he signed with Detroit. He's exceeding expectations, people keep saying "Detroit needs an star player to do anything" well we got one. Raymond may develop into something special, Kane has been unbelievable since coming to Detroit. I've loved watching him play and the team winning again this season.

  16. when he got caught up in Buffalo years ago it wasn't looking good for a while, but his maturing made him a pleasure to be a fan of. I have blackhawks red with his name on the back and never do that with jerseys. the cheering away on that ot goal is evidence, he has the keys to the city when he wants them. same with our captain.

  17. Kane has brought the sauce back to Detroit. I never thought I would be a huge Kaner fan as a lifelong wing fan. His patience and hockey iq is incredible. Love this team rn.

  18. When Kane has time to stick handle it looks like this shit is not to be taken lightly. Sadly started watching NHL after his prime.

  19. feels so weird still to see him in anything but a hawks jersey, but he's absolutely killing it in detroit

  20. As a lifelong Hawks fan it’s hard to see him with Detroit but at the same time good for him

  21. lmao thats not why kane stayed back on the 3v2. He saw that seth jones had the puck and knew he would bury worthless shots into reimers chest. seth jones is one of the worst hockey players of all time.
