Auston Matthews has been the NHL’s best goal scorer this season. In this video, we take a deeper look at how he’s scoring goals at a historic pace.

  1. Honestly I think the selkie should be a battle between linemates. Matthews defensively deserves it and marner played 10-15 shifts as a defender and didn’t look out of place except for a slightly weak back skate

  2. Wow, honestly hated on this guy for maybe "no reason" but gave me an entirely different outlook on the guy. Super impressive player – Avs fan

  3. 0:30 wrong here adjust era. We are in a high goal scoring era. Stamkos and ovi getting 60+ goals were in a low goal scoring era.
In the past few years, it's very common to see a team score 5 goals which is similar to the Gretzky days…

  4. Auston Mathews will go down as the greatest leaf of all time. He will be the highest goal scorer by the end of his contract and will end up with a statue at Socia Bank Arena.

  5. How the fuck do you know how he uses that puck. lol it just touches his stick it just flies. How the fuck do have any idea

  6. Poor kid I can’t imagine ya back in the day with Wendell Clark, gilmour,Tucker when hockey was hockey. Now it’s let’s see who makes a princess play. Hockey used to be tough, mean, and every player knew it now it’s they cheap shot because there isn’t reproductions

  7. Whoop-de-do he's having a great season, like that has ever happened in NHL history… not going to become the greatest goal scorer ever that belongs to Mario Lemieux with Mike Bossy a close second. IMHO

  8. Ez you can stop him via playoffs so hes not even close of beign the best goal scorer only regular season scorer

  9. Where are you getting your stats? Teemu Salanne had 76 goals his rookie 1992 season after Brett Hulls 86 goals in 1991 so why wouldnt he count in the era? Mogilny 76 goals 1993…

  10. You can’t stop it but he isn’t even the leading point man on his team. Tell you what tho whenever he plays my team and the puck is on his stick I rather it not be

  11. "how do you stop this" Easy, first round of the playoffs and by realizing they're not a team they're literally just Matthew and the Matthewettes.

  12. I'm a prideful Canadian and have always embraced Canadian players. I love AM like one of our own. He's the most fun player to watch that Toronto's ever had
