  1. Damn. Kind of sucks but the team seems to be playing better without him really. I’ll never forget the Kuzy bird celebration against Pittsburgh in the playoffs. Best goal of his career probably

  2. OverpassingSwedes

    Nobody will claim him but…

Thanks for the Cup run boss 🫡

  3. XxSmo69xX

Never gonna forget that OT winner in 2018 to send us to the Conference Finals. Good morning , good afternoon and good night Pittsburg.

  4. I know the team has been playing better without him. But this sucks. Loved the guy and I hope he’s truly doing better. That goal against Pittsburgh is ingrained in my memory forever

Just realize Kuzy and Sgarbs are the same age… That’s kind of wild. Might see Kuzy in Hershey?

Very bittersweet. While he’s certainly been a shell of himself the past several seasons, he was so important to us finally getting past Pittsburgh and finally winning a cup. Hope he finds success and happiness where ever the hell he ends up.

  7. Sadness that he couldn’t turn it around this season. Wonder what the future brings—hope he turns it around somewhere next year and just doesn’t linger in the AHL. He definitely needs a fresh start but is a forever Cap for his cup run.

  8. BallsMahogany_redux

Wow. Definitely was not expecting that.

  9. Just goes to show we couldn’t even get a bag of pucks for him.

Flames Fan coming in peace :D.

Like to pride myself on being up to date on all things NHL, but admittedly I didn’t see this coming. What’s the Coles Notes on this situation? Looking at his hockeydb, his numbers say he’s dropped of a bit, but not sure it warrants a waiver?! I’m obviously missing something here…..

And on another note, Mathew Philips. I was choked to all hell when Calgary let him walk. You guys got to watch him. If someone could briefly describe his demise I’d be really appreciative.

    Thanks Caps fans!

Thanks for the goal against the Pens and being part of the 2018 team. But it was time. Hate to say it but how many more chances were we supposed to give him. I know some asked why wasn’t he traded. With his history and baggage probably not many inquiries. I wish him the best wherever he goes after this.

  12. He’s flapping his wings away in the other direction :,(

I will always love Kuzy for what he gave this club and city. I hope he figures it out wherever he lands. 💙

It wouldn’t be hyperbole to say he could’ve won the Conn Smythe in 2018. Legendary playoff run indeed.

  15. capsrock02

lol at spittin chicklets adding their logo to a photo they didn’t take with a tweet that’s not there’s. Classic example of b—l stealing content and passing it off as their own. FUCK B—l

Was hoping for a rebound but I guess it wasn’t meant to be. Thank you for all you did for us, Kuzy. We will never forget your time here and that incredible cup run you were so integral to in 2018. Best of luck wherever you go.

  17. DaniCapsFan

We can be grateful for his contributions in 2018 while recognizing that he hasn’t been that player since 2018. This is for the best.

  18. CerpinTaxt90

One of my all time favorite players. I really hope he can play well In another city.

  19. Ugh. This is so sad. I wish he had a better ending.

  20. MadMcMuffin

A lotta people will throw their 2 cents in there but this is so depressing. He did a lot for the caps and I’ll always think of him as a legend. I’ll never forget yelling KUZZZZ

  21. capitarider

When he FINALLY came over in 13/14, we knew he would be amazing. Guy was creative, funny, strong with the puck and could pass and score. Think so many people forget how good he was in those 4 years, not just the cup run.

  22. TommyWilson43

Damn.  Love ya Kuz, we’ll never forget 2018 ❤️

  23. ladyofthemist

I was a little shocked that the same day they announce the Player Assistance Program cleared him to practice, he is put on waivers. Seems abrubt to me but who knows what is really going on behind closed doors. I love Kuzy and wish the best for him.
