Which team shows up tonight? The desperate Pens that can beat anyone, and the young guys get some points. Or the Malkin-esque team that’s always behind the play, can’t pass for shit, and only shoots from the furthest edges of the perimeter?

Pittsburgh needs 33 points in their next 25 games to reach 95 points for the season. 17-8 puts them at 96. Barring a collapse from multiple other teams, the amount needed to reach the playoffs is even higher.

Their record, and Dubas’ response at the end of the game on Mar 7 (versus Washington no less) is going to be very, very interesting.

I’ll be at this game, my first Pens game in 7 years! I hope the wait was worth it.

This definitely feels like a game that will decide if we have any chance of playoffs.

The pens don’t seem to do well when the opposition has a ceremony…

hear me out… claim kuznetzov off waivers, put him with geno… we alr have the cap space from guentzel on LTIR and we could throw rust there for a few days if needed to clear the cap… it would also be a great replacement for guentzel (if we claim kzuy, guentzel is gone)

Maybe the pens can pick up kuzy if his contract gets bought out to flip for some picks if he’s able to play decent.
