The age at which heâs under that contract is where the real value lies, beautiful.
No 'steal'. He's not worth more than Miller, et al. If he suddenly finds another gear during the playoffs, then maybe a steal. Not before.

I can't blame him for saying he wanted to wait until the off season. He said that before the start of this season, before they were doing so well. After last season I couldn't blame any member of the Canucks for wanting to leave. It was a shitshow. One of the worst times to be a Canucks fan imo. Especially after how they got rid of Bruce Boudreau and trading away Horvat. I'm glad he's signed long term. I can purchase his jersey now without fear he'll be gone soon.

People said Miller was an overpay, they are no longer saying this in year one of his deal.
I'm still a bit of a skeptic when it comes to Petey. Yes, he's a talented player with 100 point capabilities from season to season. But I'm not sure I see enough intensity from him at times. Particularly recently. But let's see what he can do come playoff time. That's where you really find out what your star players are all about.

Great to hear your feedback Jesse, I know I give dangle a lot of flack, the media sure ruins it for a lot of fan bases, so we hate on Toronto, I was pulling for them last year even tho I dislike the team, I hope they do well in playoffs as well, Toronto has a great team, real superstars on that team.
