@Montreal Canadiens

Are you impressed?

OK Guys, it’s time to take a look at how some of the Montréal Canadiens prospects have been doing. Both Owen Beck AND Florian Xhekaj hit the 30 goal mark last night.. In the same game.. and you have to admit, as much as expected 30 goals from Owen Beck.. We did not expect it from Florian Xhekaj.. Lets have a chat about it!

The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,

  1. The only player i wanted the canadiens to draft in 2023 was Florian XHEKAY,i didnt care about anything else. Im so fukn happy💪👊👍

  2. I went and saw Mesar last night against the London Knights. Absolutely phenomenal game, the rangers were less structured and organized but way more scrappy.

  3. I can still remember the media asking the Canadiens organization why they took Florian so early in the 4th round and why didn't they wait longer to pick him up? Well the kids is 19 and tied a second rounder Beck and a has a higher goals per game average than Mesar who was a first round pick. Both Beck and Mesar are 20. What's to justify now?

  4. It’s a shame that doing the right thing in sending a high draft prospect back to develop for once ended up so terribly. If they draft Parekh this year, I hope management strongly considers trading Reinbacher. If Drysdale can get Gauthier, then we can surely get Zegras, Kent Johnson, or another quality young forward

  5. I don't care if Reinbacher gets no points as long as he learns to defend, that's what this team needs and please no football number for Hutson, it's embarrassing.

  6. For those interested to know who has the best point average (since they all played a different number of games in the CHL).

Best POINT AVERAGE in order :
1 – Beckaneck = 1.36 (good for about 34 NHL point in a full season BTW, if anyone cares about NHLe conversions… IMHO it's BS mostly)
    2 – DWM/car = 1.25
    3 – XhekHammer = 0.96
    4 – F TBD = 0.9

The other TBD is a D so it's not relevant here, but I've heard good thing about him, he could end up being a very good defensive D in a bottom pair.

Xhek's progression from last year is absolutely insane.
Our bottom 6 is shaping up to be extremely good with loyal guys that came from within the organisation and will sign for nothing.

Our top 6, with an healthy and durable Dach, with the Hookster better surrounded + not injured + not in a new team, is also looking good. We do need at least one other guy that I hope will be Cayden or similar i.e. our first ouveral 2024 draft pick.
From there we might overpay for one or two top talent in the market from outside, but even without we can start to compete. Our Ds looks great as well as our net situation too. Good stuff man…

Hopefully we trade "name forgotten" whose contract expire this year, Allen, and also at least ONE D please, if only for the space. I wouldn't mind trading someone like Kova and keeping Chewy until next year's TDL if no good offer for the latter come our way.

    Things are finally taking form.
The 2025-26 season will be, I hope, the start of a long-term playoff window for the team.
Next season will be different but if we get a last wildcard spot and some PO experience, I mean it's good, but it's not an issue at all if we miss it again, it's still not about that for the 24-25 season.

I HOPE to see Suzuki's ironman streak continue to the end of the season and that he'll get either 82 points or more. But either way he's improving each year it's crazy!

  7. If it wasn't for how deep the prospect talent pool was at D I would for sure pick Hutson, but as it stands, it's a 4 way tie between Mesar/Beck/Xhekaj and whoever we get in the draft, heavily assuming it'll be a forward, if it's a D-man someone needs to be fired. I'll take anyone at this point who can help our O-lines.

  8. Habs fans need to get it through their heads that Reinbacher is NOT Victor Hedman and no one ever said he was going to be. He's a big, mobile defenseman who can play special teams, has a good shot and should be a regular, contributing NHL player. But this is not Bobby Orr people..take it easy on him, let him develop and he'll play a nice roll on a pretty good looking Montreal blue line in a couple of years.

  9. Having brothers on a team is cool enough, but the game that Florian brings is so hard to find on its own. Size, some finishing ability, and a mean attitude are all nice things to have up front. Sheriff and the Deputy would be a gauntlet for any team to face.

  10. Great video, awesome nicknames. You might have forgotten Oliver Kapanen in Finland who is having an impressive year for a 22 year-old (13 G – 17 A – 30 Pts. in 46 Games) and Filip Erickson in Sweden (9 G – 12 A – 21 PTS in 18 Games). Considering are lack of Centre options, this is a good development.

  11. I know the crease is crowded but I would love to see Dobes get a chance, he saw so much rubber in college quite often 45+ shots per game , has been awesome to watch his highlights the last couple of months. Would be nice to see a beast like Florien make the team too.

  12. I'm equally impressed with Quentin Miller, kid started with this entirely rebuilt Quebec team i.e. the very worst defense in the Q and he had a .901 svs% & 3.04 GAA with them which ain't bad considering how clueless that team in front of him was. Then he got traded to a better yet still nowhere near the very best ones kind of team in Rimouski and he jumped to a .913 svs% and 2.74 GAA. Massive jump up in performance.

  13. Kids really working his butt off. Looks like it will happen. Both Wifi's on the Habs crushing everyone's Signal.. Rest of em are coming along to. We need to make some room for lots of prospects this off season.

I am most Excited to see Lane Hutson make the team. I also Hope these Goalies blossom into legit players. We desperately need some talent in between the posts.

  14. just imagine in a couple years when you got 1 xhekaj in the penalty box you can have 1 more on the ice

  15. a player more people should take focus on is Cedrick Guindon, I call it now, his wrist shot will make Caufield ones look like a joke

  16. Dobes is playing well enough for a consistent amount of time, that he is capable of being our third string goalie once the Allen saga gets resolved. Dobes Fowler duo in Laval next year makes alot of sense.

  17. The guy I'm most excited for is Reinbacher. Remember what everybody said when they drafted Slafkovsky as the number one pick. It's the same story with Reinbacher, but Kent Hughes and his team prove to us that they know what they are doing. So, I think Reinbacher is underrated right now. Like Slafkovsky, they saw something in Reinbacher to take him before a lot of player. We'll see! Great content, man. Keep it up!
