The Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers went toe-to-toe in a showdown between top teams in the Eastern Conference. Mike DiStefano and David Morassutti go through all the action from the victory and how the team’s lineup in that game gave a preview of how things could look heading into the playoffs. Mike and Dave then go through the injury to Ilya Lyubushkin and why it emphasizes the need to add another defenceman at the trade deadline. To end the show, Mike and Dave preview the game against the Boston Bruins in what lines up as a pivotal week for the Leafs and debate whether Ilya Samsonov or Joseph Woll should be in net in the game.

To Toronto: Johnathen Kovacevic from the Canadians. He's a 6'5" 223lb 26yr old rhd, who's on a league min contract for the next 2yrs.
He's got 6 goals and 3 assists in 51 games, and is a +9 on a bad team which is pretty good stats considering.
To Montreal: Robertson, Timmons, and a fifth round pick.
Then you could use the Islanders 3rd, two 5ths and a B level prospect (not Cowan or Minton) for Nick Bjugstad 50% of 2.1m retained for the next 2yrs.
He's a 6'6" C/RW who has 13 goals and 18 assists in 60 games, with a +4, which is pretty good playing on a bad team.
He could play third line center, or wing, and on the PK for the next couple of years which is needed. GLG
Leafs have to go with Sammy he earned it and your playing with Sammy's cofidence if you don't. Leave need both goalies to have their mojo.
A couple of hay maker landed by both guys say Al's brother? If you watched the fight closely, Rempe never hit Reaves once, just because you throw a lot of punches, doesn't mean they connected. Reaves connected about 5-6 times, but nothing punishing. Reaves won it for sure. I know everyone is fascinated about this kid, But he's not a good fighter, He misses with his punches, and he needs to protect is face and block punches better. He's tall like Chara, but chara would destroy him in a fight. He's a great story, but people need to chill about him, it's not like he's Bob Probert.

The only way to understand that fight, like many good fights, is to watch it at .25 speed. Reaves won, hands down. He made the kid tap out.
I k know everyone calls Mike Als brother but to me it’s Mike because who’s Al. I’ve never seen Al.
For the whole game all that big goof was doing was looking for a fight. It was a dirty hit and i’m glad Reaves gave him a lickin. Like Stanley he thinks hes tough cuz he’s big. He deserves no respect.
