For the final leg of their road trip, the Pittsburgh Penguins played the Edmonton Oilers for their first of two meetings this season. The Oilers put their foot on the gas and did not stop the whole game. Starting the scoring was Zach Hyman. The Penguins kept the Oilers to only one goal in the first. In the 2nd, the ice felt tilted in favor of the Oilers. Corey Perry, Hyman again, Ryan McLeod, and Cody Ceci each scored to add to Edmonton’s lead. Starting the 3rd, Connor McDavid scored the sixth and final goal for the Oilers. Around the mid-way point of the 3rd, the Penguins broke through. Evgeni Malkin sat waiting to pick up the rebound on the backdoor for a tap-in. While they were able to prevent the shutout for the Oilers goaltender, they were not able to overcome the five-goal deficit. The Oilers won 6-1.

they have won 1 playoff series since winning the cup in 17. ONE! Seriously i don't care who retires where and am so sick of caring about "the core". The play has become an embarrassment. Fire every coach and trade every player possible. Rebuild time is here
