Jeff Paterson on Höglander & DeSmith in W over Ducks, Podkolzin, Canucks upgrading 4th line, Toffoli

Our #Canucks reporter Jeff Paterson joins us fresh off the Canucks’ 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks led by Casey DeSmith and Nils Höglander. We get into Vasily Podkolzin’s season debut, discuss upgrading the 4th line on trade deadline week, and if a Tyler Toffoli reunion makes sense.

  1. I think they really need to put Lindholm with more proficient players for him to produce more, the last few games being the center of the 3rd line with Garland and whoever it was that day on left wing just shows how much he needs to be put with a good playmaker in order for him to really produce. So because of the lack of wingers we have right now I just dont think this top 3 centers line with Petey Miller and Lindholm is working out. I think it's prolly best if we put Lindholm and Petey back together on a line, that's my opinion.

  2. I think d guiseppe has more scrinv potential than makiev that guy needs to go 3rd or 2nd for him

  3. Jules is a beast. He lays out a nasty hit at least once a game. The Canucks need to keep Hogs and Pods. They finally have some young players in the system and need to continue to build for the future!

  4. The Canucks can do it this year.
But it's OK if they don't. Just enjoy the ride and try to stay not too high and not too low.

  5. The irony of Myers being considered valuable is laughable. For the first time all year, the highlights didn't show 57 being woefully out of position and/or being assessed some boneheaded penalty.
