Great show you two. I was not happy with Torts' response. It's counter productive, and not following the team's idea of a rebuild. Now, I question the rebuild process and who's running the team. To my surprise, quite a few applauded the coach's behavior. To me, that's not player development. Tough love, and "sink or swim," frequently fail as training aids. Sure you can sit him, and talk to him, but you let him get back on the horse. It's how you learn. I believe that's why you are seeing a crazy amount of shots, but rarely do they go on net. Why is the power play struggling? Hot potato, and a lack of shots actually on net. Calm the guys down, build their confidence, and practice shooting on net. That's old school stuff: don't practice the power play, play the vets all the time, and don't worry about player development. Times change. Coaching should, too. Adapt or fail.

Maybe Ottawa dont have great a team but many players I take on my team, Tkachuk , Stutze, Pinto, Batherson,Greig,
JFC Staal every night, Friedman reporting they want to add a depth forward; no sign of Attard. Torts screaming at the young players while holding zero vets accountable. Worst "rebuild" I've ever seen. Briere saying they don't want to make a one-year run at the playoffs but want to be a yearly contender sounds like pure lip service BS right now.

They brought up Attard but coach isn't playing him. Same for Lycksell, granted he made some bad mistakes, but he's not going to learn & improve by being benched. Meanwhile the old & slow guys, with terrible +/- numbers & poor performances ( Atkinson & Stall ) are the coach's pet favorites & are in the line-up again. REBUILD ???
