Seattle Kraken’s goaltender Joey Daccord stole the show of the 2024 NHL winter classic against the Las Vegas Golden Knights. Securing the first shutout in winter classic history, Joey Daccord was the MVP of the 2024 winter classic at T-Mobile Park.
From the jerseys, to the broadcast (Paul bissonette (biznasty), Boey, and Wayne Gretzky, we were spoiled with entertainment.
It was a feel-good moment for Daccord, particularly after robbing Eichel late in the third and having thousands of people chant “Joey”.

What I like about this event is that it isn't the end of the season. If your team was there, or if they lost, or if the event just sucked that year, it's not like you're waiting months for another season to start. This one was a lot of fun, and seeing Daccord get the donut was great. I think that as long as it doesn't all start to feel too scripted and too corny, it will remain a hit.
