  1. Pettersson was going to get paid. Here or somewhere else, he signed, because he wanted to be here.

    No to any big acquisitions

  2. Gaffar makes a decent point pertaining to Greenway's salary and not reverting back to Benning's style of overpaying bottom 6 Forwards, but when you are 6'6 230 and have a shot at a deep run, you need that size and snarl.

  3. LA is getting it back together. 3 games left against Canucks. Vegas might be the 1st round opponent with an astonishingly healthy Mark Stone ready for game 1.

  4. EP was told he was going to be traded and sadly justifiably so. He wanted the team to be competitivie. That obvioulsy wasnt factual. Then it was he wanted to wait till end of year. Which put the team in a huge mess. Like Calgary was recently. The media is not being honest on this file. it was a bonfire created by EP. Hopefully he can get his act togehter and lets get back to winning ways.

  5. As per; I wonder if the move to demote Kuznetsov was for the purpose of trading him to a team that wants to take a crack at him, without initially absorbing the salary cap hit? He can be traded now, and report directly to any team's minor league affiliate, and then be recalled for the playoffs AND, AT NO COST to the salary cap!! (What a RIDICULOUS system The NHL has in place); but, as it is what it is, WHY NOT trade him for some assets to a contender? Helps Washington, assuming they're done with him, and doesn't hurt ANY team acquiring him, but could pay great dividends, as at least a depth forward in the playoffs, and with any spark of his old game at all, could be a great bonus to a contender that doesn't need to recall him until the playoffs begin! ??? Canucks? (Would he not be better than Phil Kessel at this point?)
