lets talk about how nylander leaves and starts scoring goals like every other player but sullivan isnt the problem 🙂
Karlsson isn't cause he turns it over to much and always in the penalty box. Trade karlsson he's cancer
Sullivan needs to go. I've said this for the last 3 yrs but now it should be evident to every one. They need a new voice and vision. The have a young, new(ish) gm. Let him shape this thing with his coach of choice. This thing just isn't working with sully driving the bus. Love the guy and the cups he won but no other organization would have let things get this bad with out a coaching change. I know there is a new contract next season but who cares if your in the business of winning games.
What people need to talk about more is how soft this team is. For the most part, skaters can skate right up center ice, completely unbothered, & shoot on net if they’re coming in with enough speed. Pens defense will just fall back & give up the shot. Teams know this & take advantage.
Another fault of the defense is getting caught pinching in. Defense pinches a lot because the team is slow & so offensively inept. But on the pinch they’ve been caught too many times either by giving up the puck or just not being quick enough on the back check. One of the reasons you see so many odd man rushes going the other way.
They just need to get more physical at defense. Bigger, physical guys with good fundamentals is all they need. All the teams currently with good defenses all have guys that are minimum of 6’3”-6’4” 210lbs minimum. It’s no secret as to what is working. It has always worked.
Get poulin up to the big leagues, let him play the rest of the season in the nhl to see what we really have. No to philips.
How far along does Dubas want his prospects that he wants to acquire? I know sid got 3ish years but do they prefer long term prospects or trade pieces for the new few years
Nylander had a hat trick last night (against vegas) and has 4 goals in 5 games. McCann scored 40 last year. Bjugstad is about to be traded for a 1st round pick, granlund has 36 points in 47 games. At some point, they have to change the coaching staff, no? FSG does not seem to understand hockey or hockey fans.
Can't retain salary in a trade back to Vegas for Smith. Pens lose the trade deadline if they retain any salary for contracts that don't expire this season
