  1. Jets didn't show up for that 1st period. They did alright in the 2nd but again they didn't do much in the 3rd. Was very disappointed in their performance, especially considering it was against a division rival heavyweight.

  2. Kyle Okposo would be a good add. I wonder if the Kraken would trade Adam Larsson for our 2nd (Montreal's pick). Larsson has 1 more year left at 4 mill per season after this one.

  3. Considering what Calgary got for Tanev, and that Dreger list of the top four teams in running to get him minus Dallas who "won", the Jets weren't even named. This leads me to 3 questions:
1- Did Chevy even attempt to go after him
2- If Chevy did go after him what was the initial offer and final offer before talks ended
3- Was Logan Stanley in the mix at all
Considering that Dallas went all the way to 2026 to give draft picks, putting an offer up of Logan Stanley that can directly replace him in line plus 1 or 2 picks should pique their interest enough that the Jets at least wouldn't have been at minimum 6th in line for Tanev. Unless of course Chevy is continuing to sell the farm and have other better players leave on waivers to keep a player that doesn't want to be here.
Chev should have done literally anything possible to get him, and now we're probably going to have to end up facing the Dallas team we've lost three straight games to without Tanev included.
Unless there's some type of ridiculous miracle that happens, Chev basically just handed the Western Conference to Dallas

  4. Even if the Jets finish in first place in their division and Colorado and Dallas have to play each other in Round 1 of the playoffs, one of these two talented teams will most likely play the Jets in Round 2.

The Jets excel at playing defense including Hellebuyck who’s the best goalie on Earth. Even with Ehlers, Conner, Scheifele, Monahan, etc., up front, they still need another point producer and a depth defenseman.

  5. Jets need a second pairing defensive defenceman who is not afraid to block shots and play physical and hates to lose. This way Pionk can be moved down to the third pairing and Schmidt could be moved to seventh defenseman. Jets also need a second line two-way winger, who is not afraid to shoot the puck. This way Iafallo could be moved to the fourth line and Perfetti could also be kept down on the fourth line or even scratched, especially when the playoffs start because Perfetti will not be able to handle the physicality of the playoffs

  6. I think Jets need to find Chemistry for the Second line, Trade Pionk and Stanley for Rasmus Andersson from CGY, and paying Schmidt 6M and Iafallo 4m on limited minutes.

  7. Rentals are IMO silly if you have no chance of re signing them. I am okay trading for players to make us better now, but they have to make us better next year as well. It is rarely moves at the trade deadline that pushes a team the final bit. Unless we are talking about adding depth piece in case of injury. Now that makes sense and wont cost as much. But I do wish to upgrade here and I am okay even trading Perfetti if it is for a guy that fits perfectly and will stay for years to come. If not, then its a no from me.

  8. They have to re sign with us when the trade move is made, or else i am not moving big pieces. It is just as much about making us Better next year as well. I really dislike pure rentals unless its pure depth pieces

  9. I know it would never happen. But I would trade connor who is always a liability 5 v 5, to New jersey for Mercer and Nemec

  10. I dont think we should enter panic mode and force bad trades for rentals, I also dont think that will happen. But an add that makes us better next year? Sign me up. (or a good depth piece that doesnt cost too much.

  11. Chevy is gonna say he is happy with what we have and he will say he believes in this team like he does every other yr😂

  12. could use second pair puck carrying defenseman? Walker from Philadelphia? Seeler from Philadelphia? Barre from Nashville? Ferraro from San Jose? Chychrun from Ottawa? other

  13. Personally, I think our team should gut everything this off-season. I pray that I'm wrong, but I don't see our team winning the cup this year with Bowness & Chevy. I'd bring in Eric Tulsky as GM & Ryan Warsofsky as coach & rebuild the roster. Trade KFC & Kupari for Travis Konecny & Morgan Frost. I'd trade Ehlers & Logan Stanley for K'andre Miller & Filip Chytil. i'd add in vets by resigning Monahan & signing Viktor Arviddson & Tyler Toffoli as depth to support our young core. Konecy, Vilardi & Schifele as our first line & Monahan, Perfetti, & Niedereitter as a 2nd line looks they can really do damage in the playoffs & go all the way.

  14. My concern is that Connor, Ehlers, Perfetti, who are fast yet soft, will get injured easily in an intense playoff game. Garret Hathaway? Plus, one more hitting d-man would help them suceed in a deep playoff run. Radko Gudas?

  15. I've heard Okposo is in the mix to be added to the JETS. We need to get Perfetti back on his game we need to find some more grit on the wings, and we need a STANLEY CUP parade in Winnipeg. GO JETS GO!
