  1. Yzerman is probably going wait until offseason and after resigning Raymond and Sieder before making a deal with Kane.

  2. The only way we're trading Kane is if we're getting an upgrade, and there isn't any of those to be had on the market. Feels really weird to say that, as Kane is 35 at this point, but given his scoring ability and leadership, it would be downright idiotic to trade him when we're on the cusp of taking that next step forward. I think he'll sign for a couple more seasons.

  3. I can’t imagine a scenario where he is traded this season. It’s not just his production, but it’s the elevation in the other players games that he has brought. The only reasons I would like to see something done for him sooner than later is that his value is only rising, and he should probably be at 2.5 times what he’s making now. The other is that Chicago clearly loves him, and he loves Chicago. If he wants to have a shot at winning, he stays, but if he wants to solidify his legendary status in Chicago, he goes back, even at a discount. I do let have the answer, I just love him in Detroit. I also would hate to see them sign him for like five years and a couple years into it that hip gets tired again. That’s kind of scary.

  4. This is rubbish Kane came here coz he wanted to play with Alex and he knows the roster is also good He analyzed every other team before signing with this team and must have agreed with Steve Y Kane must have respected a lot for Steve Y before signing please keep in mind he has come out of surgery and he may not even play with other teams if he does not have to

  5. Fans like crapping on the Red Wings. Even after Kane signs a 3 year extension with Detroit the media will still bloviate about "Kane being traded" for the rest of his career.

  6. Too much energy would be spent on trading Kane since we are competitive and there isnt a great incentive for Kane to play elsewhere. On a cup contender he likely doesnt get the same role he has now and itd affect his production which isnt great for his future outlook. He stays here and plays well hes set up for the rest of his career as a Wing or otherwise

  7. I don't think there's really any glaring player on the current roster that needs to be moved or a major position of need. We could use defense but Simon Edvinsson is waiting down in GR. Maybe a goal tender to be more consistent behind Lyon? But Reimer has been pretty solid as of late.
