  1. As a Jets fan, and also a Habs and Flames fan, it’s been awesome. I hope the Jets can go deep this playoff season!

  2. hard to not love this trade from every angle. Happy for Mony and I hope he makes a deep run. Those Peggers need it too. My only concern is who will step up to eat the half toasted/burnt slices now? I'm worried about our toast eating depth. Hughsey needs to use one of our 89 picks this year to just improve our toast eating ability in the lunchroom. the habs chef is starting to really feel left out of the team. Come on BOYS. Get ur toast on!

  3. Not related to this video but hey Junkie, what do you think Johnathen Kovacevic would look like as a third pair right shot d-man for the Leafs? And what would the trade value look like for a player like that?
Does Timmins, who is out with the kissing disease right now, and a couple fifths sound about right going back to the Habs.
Great content btw, keep up the good work.

  4. MSL said something like even Mon’s bad is very very good. He’s a Swiss Army Knife of pros. I was sad to see him go but understood it for sure. Like you, I check the scoreboard every morning to see how he’s doing

  5. It’s been fantastic. Really needed a unit in PP with some great distributors we have. We could go for a D man just to make sure the cup run is as deep as can go. Monahan can score with any line and the relationship of the fans with this new found burst in success alongside players is amazing to see especially when now every Jets game is packed at home.

  6. The jets will probably resign him. As long as he don't mind living in Winnipeg jets would sign him for 3 or 4 years I'm guessing

  7. This season at mtl, he was so great, it been an eternity i have not seem a talented guy like him,
He can handle the puck like hot knife in butter,
    It was the best,
He get to play for great team in playoff, we get a 2nd first round pick.
    Everybody wins

  8. Monahan, much like we have seen Dach do, makes whoever he plays with better. He ups their game. he clicked with Caufield-Suzuki, him and gallagher-pearson were a great line. he was abig time addition . he was sent to a contender ( seems Hughes promised him that ). Moneywise, he was getting $1.98M this year and Montreal would have had to probably double that to keep to re-sign him. I think come the playoffs I'll be rooting for the Jets.

  9. Good deal all around. You cn't complain about two 1st round picks. They can always be used for trade bait. Excellent.

  10. Monahan’s contract was expiring, but Calgary sent him to Montreal. A team that could help him rehabilitate while they worked out what they needed after Price was done.
And after those two seasons, he’s had a real resurgence.
    It’s great to see.

  11. My wildest dream is he goes on all the way to win the cup with the Jets (they could very well do it, they play one of if not THE soundest brand of hockey in the league right now) but then has done it thus does not feel the need to sign an extension with Winnipeg, hits UFA only to come back to Montreal instead. Trade of the Milenium…. ah, one can dream, right ? right ?

  12. Habs should resign him in the summer if he is willing to come back. Trade away Dvorak. Centers for Montreal would be Suz, Dach, Moneyhand's, and Evans. Let Beck get seasoned in Laval then maybe bring him up next spring to replace Evans.

  13. Kind of a mixed blessing in Winnipeg, as there are still a lot of Habs fans here. Back in the olden days before the WHA, Winnipegers probably preferred the flying Frenchmen over the make beliefs. Basically, no love for Toronto outside of Hog town itself! Some great years here with Fergie and Serge around.

  14. I think we all want to see him play well. He's had a rough career with injuries. The best part is Ken can bring him back agian in the summer.

  15. The great thing about Monahan was he quietly went about his business. He worked hard, he didn’t complain, he was never in the spotlight and he helped the kids.

I have 💯 respect for this man. Hopefully, we sign him up during free agency next year and we start our move up the standings with him.

  16. Hated to see the mono man go but it was a good trade for a rebuild team. Nothing flashy about him just a blue collar guy who will bust his ass to help the team win.

  17. Junkie! Great vids – I watched you praising the toast-eater for the past year already, and when he got sent to my squad, the Jets, I was overjoyed. It felt like you blessed the guy. And he has been a perfect fit for us! Go Jets!
