Happy I stayed up to tune into the 3rd. REALLY good comeback for us.

    (also obligatory fuck the Kings!)

  2. Blenchers

This is a completely different Miller, wow.

That was the type of game last year Miller would be slamming bench doors and breaking sticks. This year, you can see the frustration but he stayed in total control of his emotions all game. Glad he got rewarded with a chance to slam the door on LA which must have been cathartic after 60 minutes of clutch and grab.

  3. Outrageous-Wall-2742

what a boring ass team LA is.  how do they stomach paying for tickets to watch that crap?

anyone got a clip of what bitch boy fiala did in OT for the penalty?

  4. carry-on_replacement

I hope we keep our heads above the water in the conference standings. It’s either LA or VGK in WC1 and I don’t fancy our chances against either a team that bores you to death or a team that bullies you to death.

Also please Quinn, take a seat. your fellow defense pairs can hold down the fort just fine for OT.

  5. So from what I understand, moving forward we’re cheering for the Kings and Knights to win their games (but not too many of course) and for Nashville to lose so we can face Nashville in round 1…

  6. Snookeredinbc

Thank gawd they won. Had to suffer with that garbage trap team and their late game start time. Fuck the Kings and Flopala – GoodNight

  7. major_hassle

Anyone catch what the delayed call was in OT? Replay?

  8. Icy-Pomegranate-5644

Soucy’s impact shows how much we need another top 4 D. He is far above the rest of the bottom 4 gang. He progresses the puck and wins his battles pretty much every time.

  9. Benjii117

Demko has pupils like dinner plates lmao

Must’ve met with Bublé before the game

  10. Largebargecharge

Knew it was over for the kings once they played Swedish house mafia before OT

  11. mitchtennis

DeSmith and Demko have such a wholesome friendship. Look at the way Casey looks at him after the game.

  12. Well, I can truly say I’m disappointed in Lindholm. The guy doesn’t seem to want to attack with speed. Multiple times he got the puck tonight with one guy to beat and he just stopped moving his feet. It’s like he’s not interested in scoring. He doesn’t attack the net. He doesn’t take more than two strides unless he’s going off on a change, and then it’s three and glide to the bench.

Our whole mentality is to attack with speed and if he’s not gonna get with the program – it’s been three full weeks since the allstar break, more than enough time to understand – I hope we can find a home for him before the deadline.

  13. Also looking at the Canucks schedule moving forward, they have an INSANE amount of rest days in-between games leading all the way to their last game of the season, so hopefully we get some amazing gameplay against contender teams.

  14. PantsDancing

Both goalies tonight have Will Ferrell characters painted on their masks. Haha! Thats such an awesome coincidence.

  15. Petey 71% on faceoffs tonight. I dunno how good the Kings are at faceoffs, but 10-4 on the night is impressive!

  16. Happy_Drafter

I thought Lindholm was better tonight. Not great, but better.

  17. Sweaty-Salad95

Wow, that definitely felt like a playoff game. Low scoring, tight checking, stressful game. They really grinded out the win. I don’t normally, but I was yelling at my TV tonight…

    I hate the Kings 🙃

  18. This team gives me Rollercoaster energy and I love /hate it. Been a hot 13 years since I’ve had these emotions.

  19. disiz_mareka

Canuck fans really showed up for the road game. You could hear the cheers on the broadcast when they had the chances in the 3rd. Loved the guy jumping to his feet when JT clap bombed it home.

  20. I don’t understand the “LA bounced back in the 3rd” thing. According to natural stat trick the Canucks dominated that period too. Maybe relative to the 2nd period they were good, but I definitely don’t think they won that period.

  21. ebb_omega

Missed this one because I was out at the new Dune movie. How’d we look? Anybody wanna give me the Cliff’s Notes?

  22. Need to string a few more wins together to get that confidence and swagger back. Put February behind us and let’s March on!

  23. electricnux

Only 2 goals allowed in the last 2 games seems to be a good response after allowing 5 vs LA last Thursday.

~~Myers has missed both of these games btw~~

  24. kural1993

Wow the Kings are such a boring team to watch. No forecheck and a way to combat there trap is to dump and chase. I wouldn’t pay to watch the crap live

  25. sacred_ace

I don’t want to get ahead of myself here but I didn’t see Petterson fall once out there. Contract negotiations = uncontrollable falling, perhaps?

  26. Hunter-Western

What an old school tilt, battle of possession time, not a lot of room and lots of board battles, team had to dig deep in this one.

  27. PaddyStacker

Finally, a game that restores my faith in this team. This is the first time since the All-Star break I thought they looked like the team from the first half of the season.

Soucy was very noticeable out there. In a good way of course.

  28. humblearugula8

It looked like one of our guys pulled a jersey, the next thing you know, shorty says LA is getting a penalty for a jersey pull. Did refs miss a call on us / we get lucky on the LA jersey pull retaliation? lol

  29. helixflush

Really happy for the boys, excellent game through and through. We really put up the pressure in the second half of the game; I felt like the kings were on their heels forever with the odd half decent look.

  30. brock6oeser

Not the most entertaining of games, but it was good to see the Canucks were able to grind out this kind of win.

    And also, Demko. Wow.

  31. -GregTheGreat-

    > Soucy is back

    > We clutch wins again

    Coincidence? I think not

  32. carry-on_replacement

I think these lines are working. Fourth line has energy and had multiple good cycles thanks to PDG and Lafferty (with help from Hughes and Hronek though), Garland was popping off and once Podz and Lindholm (or maybe guentzel soon) have more time with him, they’ll be able to capitalize on his play making. Top two lines are also pretty good and Hoglander has really become a good top 6 forward.

  33. shadownet97

The roar of our fans at the Miller OT goal was soooo loud! I love it. Our fans invading their arena was a blessing to see.

  34. phantomgiratina

didn’t watch the game, but looked like a gritty earned 2 points, but hughes cannot play 28 minutes, that’s unsustainable
