Always had a soft spot for the Sabres and Buffalo in general.
Maybe it was from growing up with all the US affiliates on tv (Irv Weinstein was the best), maybe it’s cherished memories of good natured ribbing with their fans in our barn or theirs. Maybe all those nights wandering Oliver St. In N. Tonawanda in a drunken stupor.
Every single person I’ve ever known from Buffalo has been a class A fantastic person. Real salt of the earth.
I hope we beat the pants off of them and take that energy into the B2B to dust off the Bruins in the rematch.
