  1. Can we just play the rest of the season with our young guys in the minors. would be nice to see a Jesse Poulin Bemstrom line

  2. I was thinking the same on Eller being on top line. Wouldn't mind if they kept him honestly but it's not practical

  3. Should keep Carter for at least 1 more season. Keep Offense intact but move Smith and Rakell, Patterson, Graves & Joseph.
Teams not terrible but the wrong moves almost assures no chance at another cup

  4. what is the deal with poulin? i get the impression that sullivan just doesnt like certain guys. why would anyone scratch puljujarvi for harkins? or white?

  5. I would not mind them hanging on to eller. i def dont want to lose him for a 5th or 6th or 7th round pick. just not worth it. 2.45M for a 3rd line center? i like oconnor with geno.

  6. guentzel to vancouver doesnt sound the greatest for a return i dont know of any young players or prospects they have in their system also with guentzel having to waive his no trade vancouver most likely doesnt have to give up a lot knowing they want this trade to be done and vancouver is a good team so later round picks in drafts doesnt sound too good either

  7. we haven't had a decent 3c since stal /bonino. I'd completely keep eller around for another season. He has been one of the more consistent players for us and has had a ton of different line mates. Plus he's the type of center that thats a smart vet who can rub off on doc, poulin, etc.

  8. Trade Jake to the AVS for Valeri Nichushkin. VN has a cap hit of $6.125 AAV and he can be 87's new winger. No bum prospects or silly draft picks. We need real hockey trades.

  9. My concern still the same around this coaching staff's line up decisions. Not all players can play bottom 6 and top 6. Why is the stance "earn your minutes by playing in the bottom 6"? McCann has proven he is a 40 goal scorer. But sullivan refused to play him consistently higher than the 3rd line. McCann signed a 4 year, $20M deal. Thats great value. But the pens never benefited from it.

  10. I find it bizarre that DOC was taken out after the 2nd and did not return for the game, and when asked about it Sullivan quickly just blurted out "He has a concussion". No "he's being evaluated" or "being looked at for an upper body injury" you hear every.. single.. time from Sullivan, just: He has a concussion. On top of that, there is virtually no video evidence from the 2nd period that suggests he might have made any contact to even remotely infer anything occurred possible of creating a concussion type injury. All that together tells me Drew was probably close to being traded (don't get mad at me, I'm not the GM) as part of some package (maybe involving Jake, maybe not) and was pulled out between periods in case it went through. It didn't happen and they had to cover for things by actually saying he had a concussion instead of the standard injury protocol BS they use 100% of the time, without fail in any other case. I mean, a player could have been decapitated and they'd say for at least 24 hours afterwards that he had an upper body injury and was being evaluated, for Pete's sake.
