Zito at it again. This seems like a steal.

Tarasenko’s NTC definitely benefited the Panthers. Controlled the destination, Panthers had all the leverage.

I don’t know the sens that well. Someone tell me how to feel about this. I’ve heard he’s a great add

This is such an insane trade. There’s literally no downside.

Bill Zito come on down and pick up your GM of the Year award

holy fucking shit he fleeced them like he was lowballing a single mother

Depth scoring is our biggest weakness. This will help us immensely

Steal imo. Tarasenko isn’t necessarily what he used to be but has huge upside on the 2nd and 3rd line. Can never have enough depth scoring, I like this a lot.

  7. Sens fan here. Can’t wait to watch you guys in the playoffs. Don’t really care about the return for us just happy hes in a position to succeed. Best of luck!

  8. Leafs fan here, huge props on the fleece. Two thirds (or a third and a fourth) for a guy of his skill, even if it’s just as a rental, is insane. You guys are already scary as hell to play against and now you have even more scoring power.

Love to see it. I was all for a Duclair reunion because of the perceived cost, but I will certainly take Tarasenko at this price.

This is a trade I would do in NHL franchise mode, actual robbery

Nice we can put him on the second line with Bennett and Tkachuk and move Cousin’s to the fourth line. Our third line is humming right now.

    There isn’t much risk here.

Tarasenko is still decent (41 pts. in 57 games, +13 on a bad team) and can slot into the third line. If it doesn’t pan out, we’ve still got depth to fill out the bottom six without him.

    another masterclass by Zito.

It sure helps that players keep saying we are their destination. It takes away the bargaining of the other team.

Excited to see what the lines look like with him on the team. Feeling good about the trade considering he really wanted to come here and from what Sens fans are saying he’s a great team player/locker room guy

Sens fan here: it is a steal. Tarasenko has been very good this season. One big surprise was that I had assumed he was fairly one dimensional but furthest from the truth. He has been good defensively and away from the puck.

Holy shit! The negotiation skills in Florida are unmatched. Zito needs to give seminars.

How does his 2.5 mil cap hit fit our salary? I thought the Panthers were near the cap this whole time?

  18. LeviticSaxon

Does them retaining imply we’re not done, or did we need them to retain to fit him?

Zito out here cooking Michelin star meals

I guess one of Lombergini, Luosty, Gadjovich, or Cousins will need to sit. I imagine it’ll mainly be Gadjovich unless they need his enforcer role.

It’s so good to see someone besides Howie Roseman for the Eagles committing open theft like this.

  22. CorruptedReaction

Because it is a steal. I called it a a couple months back but Tarasenko had all the leverage. Perfect add with no downside even as a rental (which he surely will be)

  23. sardo_numsie

Lot of scoring depth added with Tarasenko. This is such great news. Everyone knows Reddit is gonna hate us even more now. 😂
