  1. I'm a Leafs and a Senators fans, so my 1 team got fleeced in a trade that sets up my other team to face a stronger opponent in the playoffs. I would literally rather he walked for nothing in the off-season than this. Absolutely gross.

  2. Florida scares me. Boston also scares me based on style of play as a leafs fan. Tarasenko could be Florida's Barbashev. Just dont want to face them in the 1rst or 2nd round. Lmao we'll see…

  3. This is a warning to ALL GMs in future negotiations you have to do more diligence when handing out NTC and NMC especially to players with ties to a certain team.

  4. I think Ottawa had a lot higher hopes when they signed Tarasenko last year. And the NMC was there to try and persuade him to stay if things went well. And then of course this season fell off the wheels right at the beginning and Ottawa has nothing to show and has had massive regression. I truly think Ottawa needs to seriously consider gutting the entire team this summer and start from scratch. Maybe move Brady if they can get the right deal and then try another 2-3 year rebuild. And get a damn reliable goaltender!

  5. That was one of the weirdest silver linings I've heard. Even for you, Dangle. Hah.

Usually a consolation is when something comes out of a bad situation, or as a result. Typically not something that already happened and still would have been true with or without this weak deal. Hah.

Starting to feel better yet, Ottawa fans?

  6. Absolutely disgusts me that the rangers paid a second round pick for an injured shell of Patrick Kane in this same situation last year

  7. even tho' you're a Leaf fan, I'll help ya' a little. Norris is LTIR, or could be. Giroux gone after next year, look at his age. Who thought Sens were real contenders for cup? its going to take more than one or two players. 3 solid/equal lines of scoring to compete with Vegas, essentially playing 20 mins each line. You can tell me how your team beat them in regular season, but that's not playoffs, and guys are currently under repair/waiting. What REAL difference did Tarasenko make in the future for the Sens??? he's a rented 1 year winger, when one of their main centers is out. Period. Season caput.

as for the full NTC clause, who cares? I mean really who cares? How many fans "crapped" on Treliving with Gaudreau's signing of "his" contract and walking away after how many years of playing with the Flames, and Treliving gets signed on by the Leafs?? remember watch the wordage, essentially a 5 team trade clause, or a 26 team No Trade Clause. Thanks CapFriendly.

  8. So…my one hope as a Sens fan is that Tarasenko said "trade me to Florida, i'll come back and sign again in the summer, shhhhh" but that's just wishful thinking

  9. Jesus christ. Either the first line is going to be Reinhart/barkov/tarasenko or the sencond line is going to be tkachuk/Bennett/tarasenko 😳

  10. Florida's already a nightmare to play against, even before they got this really good player, they are my pick for the cup. And I'm a Boston fan since 1963, I played for 20 years, this trade makes Florida a nightmare, the first word that pops in my head.

  11. He was worth more a 2nd and a 3rd. But honestly picking him up and trading him for free assets isn't bad but still think a second is fair for the player
