There is apparently a third team involved which I will report on later when the full details come out.

Good trade. Not over-whelming, but a depth improvement.
Centers are at a premium. Monahan is the comp
3rd party broker is Tampa. They get Henrique from the Ducks for the rights to unsigned G Ty Taylor then flip Henrique to the Oilers for a conditional 2025 4th (If the Oilers win the cup, it's a 2026 4th)
Neat!
I hate this, as a Ducks fan Sam Carrick was my favorite player I’ve watched him since he was captain of the San Diego Gulls, he wasn’t producing points but Ducks needed his physicality, Adam Henrique was a locker room leader and still a point machine
As a Ducks fan , I am fine with this I will miss Henrique. With the Oilers now having Perry, Henrique, and Carrick on the team I might be rooting for them in the playoffs.
Still want them to land Duclair somehow, someway
The only reason I don’t like it is that we got a 34 year old forward that will play one, two, maybe three years for us,
One or two being at a high level, I would rather Holland pay the kitchen sink for Guentzel or Middlestadt and I would have gave up Kane to do it
Ducks should not have retained 50% .F*ck Edmonton. Shouldn't give them a break.
Since the 3rd team broker is Tampa Bay they may have just lost their chance at Hanifin
I really like this. Henrique could go OFF offensively with the Oilers. I mean he's putting up those numbers with the Ducks, imagine what he can do in the Oilers. Not really very familiar with Carrick, but looking forward to finding out. I like the Oilers with a physical edge.
I love the move for Edmonton. Gotta go at this point. Henrique feels like a good fit.
Oilers could use the extra physicality imo, good stuff
Ducks fan: I think Henrique was last years best Duck, for instance on a team that was -81 5-on-5 he was only -8. This year on a terrible team he is somehow +3 (compare -18 for our all-star Vatrano), while still scoring despite the young guys getting more PP time only because they are the “future”, not because they are better. He is good at face offs and excellent at tipping pucks into the net. Total pro that doesn’t make mistakes, but also doesn’t squander scoring chances.
Carrick is the type of player that will be a playoff hero. He works every second of every shift and if he ever finds two like minded line mates they will be terrors. He doesn’t get many scoring chances due to being fourth line, but I suspect on a better team he will be an absolute menace around the net getting greasy goals. He is likely to be adored because he is made for the playoffs.
Bet the house on the Oilers getting the Cup. Seriously great pickups.
I like Adam Henrique. Recall when he was traded to Anaheim from Jersey. He liked his time with Devils and it was one for one trade and he settled in right away in Anaheim. Seemed impressive at the time as sometimes those mid season sudden trades don’t go well.
Broker is Tampa btw
TB is third party broker
Oilers look pretty dangerous.
I think this is fine for both teams
You forgot the TBL that got 25% and With 2026 Cond. DARFT 4th pick EDM. And ANA Got two 50% Sal Retained @TheHockeyGuy
It is Officially 75% Retained for Henrique and 50% on Carrick! That sweetens it even more
Hope the Jets make a move
Good, glad we added depth and with that retained salary it becomes better
At first glance, I didn't like this move much for EDM either, but….. ya, having sat back and given it proper time to process. I actually do like this move for them.
Henrique is great, and I've always liked him. I just saw "1st Round Pick", and instantly knee-jerked to dislike. However, it is a great acquisition for this run.
Clutch goals and the king of face offs. Most NHL fans don’t know how good Hank really is. The oiler fans will be pleasantly surprised what type of impact player he will be. Expect a few game winners in the playoffs from Adam Henrique.
Good for Henrique and Carrick to get out of Anaheim. It would be great to see them on a line with Perry.
Retained 75% down to 1.45m and he’s a Swiss Army knife of a player. He can slot at 3C he can play the wing in the top 6. He’s going to be a PK guy and like second PP unit. This was a great addition
Adam Henrique has always been such a good, consistent player for the Ducks, especially this year where he’s on pace to eclipse his career high of 50 points. Edmonton gets some very solid depth and the Ducks keep stocking the shelf. Love this trade as a Ducks fan and I don’t think in the slightest that this is an overpay for the Oilers. Don’t sleep on Sam Carrick as well. He’s an effective 4th liner that flies under the radar as a solid penalty killer. Great trade for both sides, super happy for the return as a Ducks fan.
1st rounder for a 34 year old? Kenny loves to give away 1st rounders like candy. Bad move.
I'm fine with this trade. Adam has done enough with the Ducks, and it will be awhile before the young players are at their peak.
As a ducks fan carrick was my guy. A grinder through an through. Sad day for me but go get a cup Rickers!
Henrique is a lock to score 1 or more big goals in the playoffs, maybe the SCF GWG.
I hope Sam Gagner manages to stay with Edmonton, that guy gave his everything in the dark days of the '00s and early 10's for the Oilers, they are contenders and Gagner might have played elsewhere but is an Oiler first, sad to see him go to waivers, him showing up kind of coincided with Edmonton getting out of their rut too.
Big trades today!
Oilers r in win now mode! Dumb oilers fans want their draft pick who probably wont play for another 3 years😂
