Philadelphia vs Toronto

  1. At this time in 1980, Pat Hickey lived in one of the apartments in the condominium that I lived in 627 The WestMall in Etobicoke. He kept to himself but if you approached him he was a friendly dude. He was a pretty good tennis player to boot.

  2. Al Hill, I remember in Philly he was a rookie and went after another rookie on the Rangers and ate about 7 rights in 4 seconds in Nick Fotiu.

  3. The last fight was pure Mel Bridgeman. Come in from behind with lots of cheap shots. Same with Clarke earlier. One of the most notorious stick men to ever play the game. He was DIRTY and gutless. Never fought.

  4. Philly was still a tough team in those days! Notice a lot less helmets on Flyers players than Toronto. In 1980 many people considered helmeted players "wimps."
