Lindy Ruff was fired, Travis Green was promoted to Interim Head Coach, and General Manager Tom Fitzgerald gave one of the saddest Press Conferences in the history of Press Conferences.
Is there more going on behind the scenes with the NJ Devils than meets the eye?!?
I certainly think so.

This team WILL NOT compete with the current defensemen on the team. You could have Marty in his prime in goal and he'd give up 3 goals a game. Marty was great because of great defense, great system and great two-way forwards. Markstrom is too old, small bodied athletic goalies like Saros don't age well and Ullmark has terrible playoff numbers. Without a good option in goal improve the defense

25 years of watching the devils and i have never been more disappointed in the team than i am with this season. everyone knew we needed a goalie before the season even started, everyone saw how vitek finished the end of the season last year and everyone knew that schmid was too young to really rely on and also saw how he got lit up in the 2nd round of the playoffs. the signs were there, someone somewhere refused to see them. and wether thats fitzy or wether it was the ownership forcing fitzy's hand that is a question that needs to be asked and an explanation is owed to the fans who paid their hard earned money to see this crap shoot of a season. i for one hope fitzy was to blame because if it was the ownership not letting fitzy do his job his way then ownership needs to change, otherwise this team isnt just doomed this season, but for every season to come as long as this group continues doing such things regardless if it was fitzy pulling the strings or if it was the ownership. but it is a question that should be asked.

Thanks for mentioning the pre game comment from Fitzgerald yesterday. I brought it up on your previous video. Analytics killed our season along with apparent GM meddling in day to day roster moves. Also Fitzgerald is failing in fashion. He is the worse dressed executive I've ever seen😂
