I'd keep Savard, I remember an interview with him back when we got him from Tampa, saying he was happy he could send his kids to school here and stuff. Plus he's good veteran presence
AND the THOT of trading Matheson for fuck sakes is even a bigger Bone head move

Idk how valuable is Savard in the Montreal market since he's french canadian and liked.
Chewbacca is worth a 1st + more at this point imo. Yes we trade him, but we’re sad to do it. He’s an absolute understated defensive force out there with his physicality and shot blocking. Never hesitates to put his body on the line. It’s the kind of stuff that goes unnoticed by the masses but wins teams cups in the long run.
If he gets traded, he better not be sportin' a Loafs sweater when it's done.
Matheson needs to go. Keep Savard.
A couple days ago, i counted 9 young players in the habs system that are either playing at the nhl level or projected top 6 defenders. Add savard and matheson to that, were at 11 guys.
Savard – matheson – guhle – xhekaj – struble – hutson – harris – reinbacher – mailloux – kovacevic – barron
If i was in kent's shoes, my long term plan would be
Guhle – mailloux
Hutson – reinbacher
Xhekaj – kovacevic
And struble as a backup in case someone gets injured
I would not trade him ,for the Canadiens defence I chose him before and I am still sticking to him ,why you don't trade the other guy that has a fucking soar back ,,,,,Darrell
He will get dealt next season. This season and next we still need him.

savard is worth keeping
Not going to get any thing but a late first rounder and he's worth more to r team then that, all the the young defense r singing there praise for him, can't say enough about him, that in its self makes him untradeable, we need a defense coach that r young defense group listen to ,he has to much value to Montreal then just his hockey skills, he's not going anywhere unless someone offers something u can't walk from, not going to happen!
