  1. What’s the deal with Johansen? I haven’t followed the Avs much this year, I know he was good a few years ago, but why immediately place him on waivers? He has 13 goals this season, not great but it’s not nothing. Anyone know what his deal is?

To all the people who said I was nuts for hammering that the rebuild is still on? We’ll neener neener to you

I’m really happy with Danny so far. In just one year he’s been able to swing high value trades for rentals, sell off Hayes and Provorov before their declines, and draft some guys that, while too early to call, look like great picks to start.

Maybe some of yall who look for every single solitary reason to bury this team in pessimism and negativity can dial it back a notch. I think we really have something here in the gm room, finally.

Here’s hoping he can keep it rolling.

  3. So does that make 2 first round picks this year, 2 next year and two seconds next year?

  4. Perryplat199

I forget. How does top 10 work. We get their 2026 1st if 2025 is top 10?

  5. Nochtilus

Not that it is going to be a top 10, but how do those convey in the NHL? Does it become an unprotected 2026 pick?

  6. No_Bank_330

Good trade. We got a first and a reclamation project at forward.

Looks like more guys are on the move from this deal.

  7. FlyersFanatic75

So we got Johansen and immediately put him on waivers? Pr we picked him up from Colorado from waivers?

  8. TwoForHawat

I just remembered that Tortorella ran RyJo out of town in Columbus, didn’t he?

  9. PwillyAlldilly

Oh thank god finally. Danny Briere is true to his word it’s a rebuild.

  10. Scouts_Revenge

Why did they trade for him then place him on waivers right away?

  11. bernie_lomax8

So that makes 2 first round picks for provy?

  12. Local-Cartographer52

That provoro. trade looks better and better

  13. Roll-Me-Through

Nice work, Danny. It would be insane if COL lands in the top 10 of next year’s draft

  14. samcoffeeman

Well I’ll be damned. I didn’t think they would get a 1st for Walker and I was wrong. Great job by Briere maximizing value.

  15. The_Mauldalorian

    LET’S FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOO! 4 1STS IN 2 YEARS

  16. mojo_pin71

Can someone explain to me what “top 10 protected” means?

  17. CircusOfBlood

Question. If Colorado has a shockingly bad year. And it does not convey. Do we get their next best pick? Or their first the following year?

  18. billgigs55

Thank you elite sniper sean walker for your service 🫡

  19. Bhut_Jolokia400

This is the best Danny could have got in return for Walker. Resigning Seeler $2.7M/4 will be the only unknown right now. How will 24 be impacted by the absence of Walker on the blue-line? That said I don’t think Seeler would have the same ROI as Walker and wanted more to resign.

  20. Walker has earned us this pick. What a season from the dude. Wish him nothing but the best!

  21. Cute-Contract-6762

This is fucking awesome. I can’t believe they pulled it off.

  22. accountname789

What does Top-10 protected mean? What are the conditions of the pick?

  23. Phillyfan10

    Stunt on these hoes, Daniel!

Seems like a win-win trade. We get the first and the not yet complete rebuild is still very much on, and they get a serviceable defenseman and out from Johansen.

  24. BlurstOfTimes11

    u/gimmickybulb

So nobody is making offers for Walker, eh??

  25. Fun-Analyst-4398

If no one bites on RyJo at 4M we still have tomorrow to try to give him away for a pick at 2m before the deadline.

We have too many forwards this year and next.
