  1. What teams are left that have something GREAT to offer for Savard? Now we are potentially retaining his salary in hopes for a huge return but what return would that be besides more draft picks or future considerations?

  2. I'm gonna laugh so hard when March 8 comes and goes and we did nothing! All the rumors, speculation and hearsay…out the window. To me the time is not now but come this summer…look out!. That's when Kent Hughes really gets cooking! GO HABS GO.

  3. Last night I watched a video from an "insider" saying Savard ain't going anywhere unless the return is ridiculous.

  4. Trade Savard and anything else if it leads to a cup. We have no untouchables. Its a business afterall

  5. I’ve said it on your channel a million times, Hugues has no choice but to go all in and stop looking for picks, the habs had 12 picks at each of their last 3 drafts and 12 or 13 for 2024 already, you can’t draft that many players and keep them all, they need to get rid of contracts and go all in , in a big way. Gallagher , Anderson , Allen, Pearson and dvorak are eating 23 millions in cap space , that’s just ridiculous , you could replace all of their production by replacing them all by a 40pts player that cost 4 mil/year

Hugues has to go all in before next season , package picks and prospect with unwanted contracts to go get the big name , paying to get rid of bad contracts and to aquire talent would be expensive but what else is there left to do? Waste 4 years until gallagher and Anderson contracts run out to become competitive?…. That’s way too long ,the habs have the assets to pull huge trades and it needs to be done now. Late first rounders are just a waste of time now

Example mock trade , again just an example on how Hugues could overpay to become competitive as soon as next year

Gallagher , Winnipeg 1st in 2024, calgarys first in 2025, 2x2nd and a good defenseman prospect in exchange for a legit talented player , and for those who thinks that’s too much to give , it’s not , look what it cost for tanner Jeannot .

Hugues has to focus on getting rid of those 5 guys at no Mather what the price is as long as the habs top 10 picks in drafts are protected

  6. Anaheim sits Leo Carlsson on purpose throughout the season to give him rest time, Carlsson is a really good player so its not because he cant play. Hopefully Slafs therapy days are just to give him rest after going through his first 82 game season.

  7. Great show guys! I can see a Savard trade, but I'm really hoping to see Jake Allen dealt. The 3 goalie system doesn't work and I think since you've paid Monty to be the guy, let him be the guy.

  8. I feel like if ANYONE moves at the deadline it will be Savard, but it may be more likely that no one moves… yet. Look for changes this summer and at the draft.

  9. Is there a different meaning for the word massive than I know. That is not massive news, a cure for cancer would fit that description.

  10. I hope they are right. We don't need any more prospects. We actually need to dump lots of contracts and move guys. Just to make room for all our up and comers next season. We need a few solid vets to help out the rookies and start competing for real. If all we get for Savard is a draft pick, Then I think we should keep him because he loves being a Hab and brings a great chemistry to the team and locker room. Plus he is pretty good.

  11. We have so many D to evaluate next year and, let’s face it, we’re not winning the cup next year either.
Let him go if the return is good. Let him win another one. Or let’s fleece the Leafs (even Dave can’t help them in the postseason).
He’s 33, not fast and a stay at home beauty.
Will he be that different coming back at 35 when we’re ready to push?!?

  12. Keep Savard… no question about it… is impact on the other young defensements in the next 2 to 3 years as no price

  13. Can't underestimate the value of a guy like Savard for a team with this young defense, we don't need more prospects or picks. Montreal has been talking development, development, development, well to have an example like Savard on how to do play defense for all these young defenceman that r here and coming, well late first rounders have a thirty percent chance of making it,we got a great young core that need to be taught, I'll take Savard he's real and now, when we just what provides!
