Avs just loaded up. Stars are already loaded. Jets 100% need to go for winger Claude Giroux no matter what it costs!!
Buch-to-WPG is almost certainly fantasy island territory. First of all, it would take something like MTL's 24 2nd, Barlow and Salomonsson to even get the Armstrong to consider it. And even if you find a deal somehow, does Buch waive for Winnipeg? Ehhh… I dunno, man.
Harrison: Jets only traded their 2024 first for Monanhan because they know the 2024 draft isn't very good. Management is content with the Jets just squeaking into the playoffs with mediocrity. McGroarty, Lambert, Barlow, etc ensure that future of mediocrity continues. If they make a big swing to get Buch or some out of the blue deal for Konecny etc, then they have to trade away some the future. The jets have never had a win now, go all in mentality, and never will. They don't care.
When you operate a Pro Team like a family it’s impossible to be all in at TDL. All moves have to go through the conservative and sentimental owner who opines how wonderful they treat the players here and how they care about each otherThus any Player who they target has to pass multiple filters before they pull the trigger which translates to a slow process even further while other teams are just hitting on BPA. Let’s hope Buchnevic is a “ good guy” he could be a game breaker. I’m fine losing any of Heinola,Lambert,Lucius,Appleton,Kupari,Stanley,Schmidt,Pionk. Lambert is younger but a lot like Kupari with lots of tools and no tool kit.
