Leafs wont do much guaranteed good teams become great teams and toronto is toronto they will always suck please trade for someone.
Buffalo is loaded with top forward and center prospects, Casey was never going to be resigned, no room at the inn for Middy, he found a nice landing spot. The Avs are going to like his play making. Buffalo is also thin at the D, Byram is a great get. If he can recover he is a steal. If not, Casey was heading for the door anyway.

You are completely wrong about Tarasenko, he was great on and off the ice in Ottawa. Carries himself with a tremendous amount of respect, the only guy I have ever seen that turns and faces each reporter that asks him the question in a scrum. Tank is Pure Class.

Love the show. The Buds have drained most of their picks going "all in" the last few years. Now that the cupboards are bare they better not be trading the future away by losing Easton Cowan and Fraser Mitton as well. They've emptied the cupboards and have nothing to show for it. Rentals don't work.

Leafs should have worked out Zadorov and Tanev! Get hard ass 3rd, 4th line and 3rd line D. Add some toughness.
Toronto needs a tough right handed defenceman. Also they need a thug enforcer on the Mathews line.
Where do the scouts go for talent? What do they look for? I am thinking about the book “Moneyball” and baseball’s Oakland A’s. Is there any comparative analysis in the NHL world? What do scouts look for beyond speed?
