Fuckin good. Tells us everything we need to know about Kakko’s perceived value to Drury. Mid rentals keep on walkin’

Good Job Drury. I would have rejected that in a heart beat.

Go get Buch if StL is willing to retain salary.

  4. HanaDolgorsen

I would have messaged ANA back with, “lol no.”

Buch at 22-24 was a 40 point guy with top 6 consistent minutes + some PP time.

Kakko is 22 now and hit 40 last year. Bottom 6 minutes + no PP time.

    Give the guy a chance.

I remember when a lot of you were against Buch early on too. Now you love him.

Thank fuckin god that would’ve been high way robbery by the ducks considering they’re getting the best player and a 1st rounder in the deal.

  7. As disappointed as I am with KK production, I still would be heartbroken to see him leave.

Kakko is a 30 point player with zero offensive output, huge mistake rejecting this

edit: delusional ass fanbase, Kakko. Sub 20 point players who play defense are a dime a dozen in this league

  9. I just really wish they’d stop shuffling Kakko around in the lineup. He’s one of the guys that always gets moved around.

Watch his world junior highlights, kid has elite talent. And we’ve seen glimpses of it in the NHL. I just feel like between being moved up and down the lineup and a couple injuries he just hasn’t found any consistency.

I would have bet that if that trade did happen, he would have flourished in Anaheim.

Long term right move. Short term …well we will never know outside of Edmonton winning the cup this year. I don’t think the trade edmonton is a fair comparison. That was a swing for the fences or take a pitch. I think drury was right to hold.

  11. If you got rid of Kakko, yea you get another RW, but then create a hole at on line 3. Who replaces him? I get he hasnt scored a ton but its a win now team. Kakko offers more value than Othmann getting a chance with limited minutes or someone else from the minors the rest of the way

Lmfao, Anaheim better be giving us zegras for that type of package

Not a fan of the Michigan. Not a fan of Zegras.

ESPN doesn’t disappoint with dumb reporting

  15. BLUE_SKY_519

Glad it was rejected. Aside from the offer being too high, adding one RW while losing another still leaves a hole in the lineup

  16. I would’ve never watched this team again. Even for just Kakko that’s rediculous

  17. You know you’ve been traveling too much when you see ANA and think it means All Nippon Airways before realizing it’s talking about the Ducks

It’s just the nature of sports now, these kids don’t get the 2 or three years to finish baking at the AHL level…team control and inflated salaries…they need to be with the big club ASAP, but few of them are ready for that level of competition…

  19. Ok-Ad6295

Audibly laughed at that offer. What a fuckin joke. Stay strong Drury

  20. Lower_Ferret9274

Can we trade Emily Kaplan to Telemundo for a guy who screams in Spanish at the camera, and you have no clue what he’s saying? She’s awful.

  21. ColdRoller52

Probably the best move Drury has made in his time as GM, and it’s one he didn’t make
