There's no question the Leaf's D is bigger & meaner as of now. They'll have a puck mover on each pair, along with a banger, stay at home type of guy. Will that be the difference maker to have better playoff results? I simply don't know, but we're going to find out for sure in about 20 odd games barring injuries.

As a Jets fan, I know exactly why the crosscheck to the face of Simmons went uncalled… And its because of the team Edmundson was on that game.
This is just one more example to the multiple lately the Jets have as well, where Parros becomes a walking joke in the face of blatant, obvious optics/ethics issues…
He doesnt excuse himself from making player safety rulings for or against certain teams, that end up directly benefiting a team that he JUST HAPPENED to play for…
Suspending Scheifele 4 playoff games these same 2021 playoffs in the second round, because Evans STUPIDLY wanted a freebie wrap around empty net attempt instead of stopping behind the net, and waiting for help to arrive… (the SMART play…) He instead grabs the puck behind the goal line, and then swings from behind the net, back up ice, towards the people crashing down trying to stop him. He tried that in the playoffs… But because he was stretchered off in prime time game 1, and happened to the last team to give parros a job as a player… Against the smallest market in the league… The fact every pundit said 2 games made the most sense, or fellow players like Mike Commodore pointing out everything i said and more in defense of Scheif… It doesnt matter.
The fact Kyle Connor received a knee on knee from a ducks player, and "upon further review from Parros the next day, "There was no suspension worthy on the play…" – after the refs determined it was textbook, and kicked him out with review from the league very quickly… (Parros also had to make atleast 2 other big rulings that day, and was busier then normal the poor baby… So he magically helped out his longest tenured team at our expense once again…
There are other examples this year, last year… As a jets fan I dont follow the leafs very much obviously, and the jets were surprising everyone by sweeping EDM during this time in 2021, but this is really good info to know now. Just another example of Parros magically having zero precedent whenever it happens to help his former team(s) – I wonder what else. I want to look into his history as a player, and see what people he had issues with. See if they work for a team in the league, see how theyre treated. If its more then just helping his old teams, but maybe intentionally hurting others as well??
