Also for the Duhaime trade, I'm giving Colorado a B, and Minnesota a B+!
I really like the Hanifin trade for the Flames they avoid overpaying Hanifin and I don't think Hanifin will fit well in Vegas (not that it matters to the Flames) I think most trades have been pretty even and good for both sides so far
I wish my teams most expensive player would "get hurt" right at the deadline and come back game 1 in playoffs, lol .
Vladi has been Miami based for awhile. They were in Florida in the offseason even when he was in StL. I was shocked he landed in Ottawa last season.

Although strong now, the Golden Knights fortress will be crumbling in 2-3 years maybe next year. Very very old team. With nothing in the pipeline.

I think the biggest news is yet to come. It wouldn’t surprise me that the huge surprise is that a Guentzel deal doesn’t get done, the supposed “in on it” hurricanes actually stand pat and pull a “we like our group.”
I don’t know about Buchnevic, talk and buzz around the blues seems to have slowed down. Would love to hear your thoughts on some of the other moves you think are pending.
Doubtful that VGK is done here. I think we expect to see NJD sweeten the pot to push for Markstrom by tomorrow.
Another surprise I foresee is potentially Mangiapane outbound from the flames to a contender.

The Lindholm deal was the worst.
Vancouver lost Kuzmenko, their 1st pick, the leading scoring defenseman in the OHL, and a third round pick, all for a slightly better player.
I love how just a few days ago you were saying Colorado was gonna go with some of the less-splashy moves. That wasn't your exact wording, but it was along those lines. Maybe it's just the Dallas Stars fan in you that didn't want it to happen.
Also, the Duhaime and Trenin acquisitions + Nikolai Kovalenko coming over before the month ends make for a very confident late-season push for that 1st seed I the Central.
After the trades today the Avs are an absolute wagon. Their forwards are insane and their D-core is one of the best in the league. The only issue is blue line depth and goaltending.
