If he wanted to hurt him, he would've. He didn't. That TAP was to send a message. Two minute penalty and move on. Bedard was lucky not to get called for interference immediately before that.
Brutal. Bedard himself said it was such a non issue and overblown. I think this is a fine at most. There's cross checks to the lower back and slashes at the ankles going to the bench every game that would be 7 game suspensions following this.

Bedard doesn’t even challenge or say anything. He just grabs his stick and throws a tantrum on the bench. Man up and stick up for yourself if no one else will.
I said on one of your earlier videos it’s clear you’re just a guy who loves hockey and wants to see it grow as safely as possible. You don’t want to “ruin” the art of the big hit, rather, you wish to refine it. Nothing has changed since I made that initial comment. Literally the most unintentionally wholesome channel in sports. You and hockey guy deserve big boy gigs
