  1. I’m going to state the obvious. Sid is REALLY hurting about this. If hextall hadn’t kept so many 30+ year old on no move contracts we’d still be able to keep the 29 year old 2 time 40 goal scorer that has worked as Sid’s best linemate of his career. Imagine if Hex didn’t resign geno, Carter, and rust or rakell. That’s over $15 mil in cap space for Jake and two younger up and coming players. Hextall annihilated this franchise. We can only hope Dubas works miracles in the next couple of years.

  2. It’s over in Pitt. Let Sid win another cup elsewhere. Meanwhile, hate to say it. Kyle Dubas the GM has won 1 playoff round in five years of Matthews with the Leafs, and never even with the greyhounds. He’s articulate, but no miracle worker. Unless Pitt again wins some lotteries.

  3. Sid might of had a chance at one more cup or two, if bad Gm’s didn’t come in and f it up. Rutherford started it, Hextall fatally wounded them, and Dubas finished them off.

  4. Losing your best friend, losing 6-0 to the caps, losing the room, losing confidence. The end of an era had arrived in Pittsburgh.
