True, he’s playing high in the lineup with RoR and Forsberg, and has evolved into more of a playmaker rather than a finisher. (For context, he currently has 57 seconds more ice time per game than that season.) But a lot has been asked of him, and he’s risen to the occasion and I think exceeded expectations. 0.88ppg for $3.185M/yr is nothing to sneeze at. He’s outscoring Kadri, Stamkos, Marchand, Hintz, Ovechkin, etc…

I concur. The FORNY line is the best cost per point line!
He had 60 points in 2018-19 split between Red Wings and Sharks. I think they said he beat his career high for assists (38 in 18-19).
