  1. Actually, no. Yuzuru did in his last Olympics but it wasn't fully complete… however, the judges ruled it a quad axle.

  2. I still remember when people would call Elvis Stojko the “Quad King”…and he only did the quad toe loop. Amazing how things change in 25 years.

  3. My parents were great skaters. I, on the other hand, not so much. I loved watching them, and frequently wath competitions on TV. This guy is my current favorite. This clip is a year old, but he did an even better job today!

  4. The second part is one of the most originals choreography in a long time, i just think hes not gettinh enough credity for not being "delicate" and feminine like the others skates.

  5. Russians are simply unbeatable and the worst, regardless of whether they compete for Russia or the USA.

  6. insane to pull off a jump once thought impossible with such ease. he's so young so he has plenty of time to improve, but if Ilia is able to improve his artistry, get down in those knees (which i know is hard for tall lanky skaters), and deepen his edgework he will go down as one of the greatest figure skaters of all time. he really struggles to sell the choreography and it just ends up looking chaotic and dizzy. He drags his feet so much in his footwork and does so much two foot skating that i feel like I'm just watching someone do jumps (albeit impressive) with skating in between, not a deliberate and choreographed performance (compared to some of the greats like yuzuru and patrick). He has time to become more well rounded and I'm excited to see how he grows as a skater.
