  1. I can’t even imagine the pressure that this kid is under, 24/7. The expectations are so large, I do t know if he can ever live up to it. As a LONG suffering Devils fan, I know the frustration all-to-well. Canadiens fans, like Devils fans, deserve some real excitement, and success (as long as it’s not at the expense of NJ.)

  2. He can't/won't carry the puck. No, he doesn't move well. Yes, he's benefitted from playing with Caulfield and Suzuki!!! Jagr and Rantenen WANTED the puck AND they can do magical things with it. I don't see Slaf's willingness to even try. At 6-3, 230 he plays on the outside (often out of position) and has a soft game. As I've said, count how often he Touches the puck, his Take Aways and Hits. Suzuki and Caulfield do ALL the work and he reaps tgs rewards, he creats nothing.

  3. Bro hes a bust move on… He ghosted in his last 4 games. Dude saw how Cooley skated better than him last night and was prolly bumbed out. Bust

  4. Slav has literally been getting better every game. defensivly resposible and wins puck battles consistently. He has over 100 hits and has been laying people out. He is becoming the scary power forward we hoped before our very eyes!

It might just be me but I feel when he is at speed he seems less confident but when he is moving slower he has unreal hands. I think he needs to work or his skating.

Also his shot has looked really good the team needs to get him shooting way more.

  5. " Caufield, you haven't scored in your last 5 games.." YOUR GONE " !!..The mentality of the some of the Hab fans here is very strange.

  6. On Wikipedia they give Jagr 6 ft 3 in (191 cm) Weight 230 lb (104 kg; 16 st 6 lb) which I would guess was his NHL playing Height and Weight. The one you showed is probably his current measurements.

  7. I watched Jagr play as a rookie. Slaf moves and handles the puck in a similar way. They have a very comparable skill set. Will Slaf be as good as Jagr? Probably not, but I wish him the best. Cheers

  8. rest of the Forsberg's opinion: When you go to the NHL, don't be surprised if you have one or two very difficult first years there. A hockey career is long, just look at Jagr. You don't have to be the best version of yourself at eighteen or nineteen. Work on getting stronger and be diligent in the gym. Don't pay attention to what the media write about you, believe in your abilities and keep working hard. As good as you are already, you don't have to be a superstar as a teenager. Be patient, take your time, you may still have twenty years of career ahead of you. And really forget what is written about you. Don't mind it at all.'

  9. rantanen had 38 pts after 1 season in the ahl. If slaf gets 8 more pts he would have 38 but he is struggling a bit lately but habs arent getting pp's lately

  10. MIXTURE OF JAGR, HOSSA AND OVECHKIN.
Compare Slaf with whoever from the Habs roster when they were 19-21 years old. Who was better than Slaf? Just an example:
    SLAF
    18/19 y – 4G/10P
    19/20 y – 12G/30P

    SUZUKI
    20/21 y – 13G/41P

    CAUFIELD
    19/20 y – 4G/5P
    20/21 y – 23G/43P

What makes someone to think Suzuki and Caufield are almost superstars and Slaf is just good?

  11. He's another Lafreniere. He won't be a top point producer but he won't be terrible either. Middle of the pack type of forward with size. Expecting anything else is a longshot.
