This feels like the west last year. Just a few teams trying to see who can choke the least. Detroit hasn’t been good recently. We can’t play defense is to save our lives, and while the Islanders have looked decent recently, they can’t seem to consistently play good hockey

Good. Us missing the playoffs is a blessing. We would get absolutely spanked round 1 the way this team is playing.

It’s actually painful watching us let this playoff spot slip away. Not playing games is actually a good thing because the metro is so mid that they bail us out and then we immediately go out and lay eggs against the softest part of our schedule to piss it away. Missing the playoffs would be a monumental failure for this group and if it happens, heads should roll

Not sure anyone should be surprised. The bottom 2 lines are brutal, the defense hasn’t been healthy all year, and Vasy isn’t winning us games by himself like he used to.

I’m not too worried yet but the Philly game is the most important game of the year. We need Philly to fall off because I think the Isles are getting in regardless, they look pretty good.
