I know I've asked this before, but can't remember, is the AAV a player's cap hit?
The thing about mantha is that his fight with cousins was an aberration. He lines up nicely on the Vegas lines but he doesn’t play physical in the way a 6’5 230 man should. He doesn’t fight, doesn’t body check. He’s played well (this year) but played more like a skill player than a power forward.
Mantha is the softest, most invisible 6'5 guy in sports, not just hockey.
You guys need to work on your "instant analysis" coming into trade deadline. Im watching cause i love you guys but already seen all this Everywhere else.
The big get bigger! That is a great fit for Mantha and a great deal for Washington, especially compared to what Ottawa got for Tarasenko
Hey Steve, congrats on the little one! And you should absolutely flaunt that you are a girl dad.
Excellent….thanks Steve 😊
I still hate that Sandin trade so much.
Capfriendly needs to put a little more colour on that Caps logo. It almost looks like they have none of their own picks.
I know how much TO hates the Panthers, but if you’re not biased, there needs to be a conversation on Zito for GM of the year. And I think we should be seriously considered for real cup contenders and I think just like at the start of the season that we would win the cup this year. We got tougher, girdier and the Maurice system is about wearing people down until they are sore and don’t want the abuse anymore. And as much as everyone hates Tkachuk but every team would kill to have him. Let’s go Panthers. Btw, Rheinhert is only 9 goals behind Matthews 😮😊
Friday is gonna be so dead
I’m extremely happy with the return as a fan. Especially seeing what Ottawa got for Tarasenko. Washington got very good value for a pending UFA
The one season Mo gets his game back, we trade him. Mixed feelings about the trade…
Vegas-WAS deal seems like a rock solid B-grade win/win trade. Both sides get what they want at a reasonable rate. One of those unspectacular but solid deals for both sides.
Steve is back from his conditioning stint in the Ajax Daddies.
Honestly it's feeling too late now. They are 3 games up in the wildcard (down from 1st in the entire NHL) and every aspect of their game looks like crap right now. That's why I'm not getting why people are saying they are cap circumventing with Stone. Knights have fallen down so far that they might miss the playoffs. The whole point of circumventing is to have a loaded roster…….in the playoffs.
Did they just re add reilly smith onto their roster
When I first saw the Sandin extension I was so confused as to why he'd sign a 5 year league min deal, then after seeing it for the 5th time realized that's the AAV LMAO
Vegas cheaters , salary cap doesn’t apply to them
Mantha is solid but not super star #1 C like projected
It's sad watching so many players go through the caps line up but it's also seemed to turn out well. Sandin and Pacioretty have been great. I do hope we can finish this retool in time for one more run with the veterans. The youth have been looking promising.
Mantha is a great addition to an already really good team obviously, he's big, good shot, smart, I think it's a great fit, we'll see.
brought him in to sit in the penalty box for a Canucks goal jkjk
