Dowd, Pacioretty, Aube-Kubel and Lindgren remain Capitals.

  2. Absolutely ridiculous BMac couldn’t move Dowd

    Final deadline results:

    Out – Mantha, Edmundson, Kuznetsov

    In – 2024 2nd, 2024 3rd, 2024 7th, 2025 3rd, 2025 5th

What a disappointment. All we did was free up a little cap space for a future dice roll. Guess no one was willing to give up anything good for Dowd, Patches, and one of our G

Keeping dowd and trading actual talent like mantha and kuzy away is a joke. All dowds gonna do is come back and take ice time from the guys we need to develop. And not using anything we gathered to make a move for an actual nhl player? So dumb we’ll be lucky if 1 of our like 6 3rd round picks even makes it to the NHL. Dumbasses caught in between a rebuild and a retool and failed at both. L deadline.

Good deadline for us. Any other moves would have just been icing on the cake IMO.

Can’t believe Dowd stayed. Expected Patches to move as well, and glad we kept Lindgren but a little surprised.

Alright. Well. Let’s make the playoffs I guess!

I’ve never seen the caps accrue this much draft picks, I’m wondering if GMBM flips some of them in the summer for a player.

Calm down guys. Dowd is great for the room, and we can still move him next deadline.

I think reasoning behind Dowd and Charlie staying is the fact they’re not UFAs, we can trade them in the off-season or next deadline.

BMac wanted a first, didn’t get it, and doesn’t sell them for less than they’re worth which is fine by me.

Overall decent deadline, gained some cap space, we let Leonard, Cristall, and the Bears cook in playoff runs and reevaluate in the summer where we are at.

If he wasn’t getting first rounders for Lindgren and Dowd they were wise to hold onto them.

Pax reportedly wouldn’t waive his NMC for the Rags.

Was a buyers market. Looking back we were fortunate to get what we got for Mantha

GMBM moving Mantha and Kuzy feels like a half victory.

  14. Promising start, wish more were moved, but maybe the deals just weren’t there.

Solid deadline. I don’t think they were gonna get anything better than a 5th rounder for Patches so might as well hang onto him.

Dowd/Lindgren both have another year so makes sense to hang onto them if GMBM wasn’t impressed by any offers. We’ll be glad to have them if we sneak into a playoff spot. Otherwise keeping them around means the young guys can get (more) playoff experience in Hershey.

Retaining Dowd/Patches/Chuck keeps us competitive while we still received decent return for other pieces. Leaves us not completely out of the hunt for playoffs while bolstering our future – I see this as a win/win

  17. I love Dowd and Lindgren and feel they can help the team for years to come.

Looks like patches nixed the trades and wanted to stay in DC. Want to stay close to family.

I’m glad gmbm didn’t make moves that wouldn’t be worth it. No good reason to move guys if you’re not getting what you want, that defeats the whole purpose of selling.
