  1. Maybe this is a, hey Berggren, you gonna get some NHL time, how about we work on a new contract and you become a solid NHL player for us.

Plus this saves money for Raymond and Seider, and Kane.

  2. Klim didn’t get a chance. He has skillset we lack the sandpaper and toughness to keep teams at little honest but we all seen it coming due to him being the odd forward out constantly. Hope holl gets traded before the deadline another permanent scratch taking up a spot on the roster

  3. Might not age well, but this could also be a move that adds some stability to Grand Rapids as well if Detroit calls up Edvinson

  4. I always wanted the Canucks to draft him, but they never fell down enough. For the 2017 draft, he was an early projected #1 overall ranked player as he has the size and skills, was also one of the top NHL-ready prospect…. but the "Russian" factor made him drop down the draft.

  5. I like the move to shore up a roster spot for Berggren, save 2 mill in cap space, and to bolster the GRG blue line for a deep playoff run. Klim although tough never really exuded the tough guy role. Sure he was physical but Debrincat, and Fischer had the same amount of fights, and won some of them. Klim got manhandled at times and the other was a loss.

  6. Sad to see him go, dude will drop the gloves with anybody and stand up for his team mates in a heartbeat. Be nice if petry or sprong would do anything close

  7. Maaann I can't WAIT til the Red Wings start making trades that we as Red Wings are actually excited about and proud of thar we KNOW it will improve us!.. that will be pretty awesome when that day comes..😊

  8. Nah, they didn’t give up on him. He was a fan favorite before he came to Detroit, and I heard he was a fan favorite there, however he didn’t get ice time in Detroit. He will have more opportunities in San Jose and they’ll probably love him. He was being wasted in Detroit.

  9. Bergren gonna probably get called up and get playing time. After his fourth game up, he will have to clear waivers….so if he comes up, he will probably stay. This will also help in his resigning.

I liked Klim, but he kinda got a bit screwed signing here. Yzerman said that they were in discussions with his agent and they felt its better for him to go to a team that would help him play more.

  10. yzerman got fleeced, traded away a good player for nothing lol

also added nothing while everyone else got better, yzerman masterclass lol

  11. I like the move, not because of what we received in return but because we were able to get rid of that contract. Kostin didn't produce and I never saw him win a fight that was dead cap, at least with Simek the contract expires this year so we wont have to worry about 2 million in dead cap. Gotta be able to pay Sieder and Raymond and 2 million could come in handy

  12. This is the sort of trade I expected from the Wings. The two seventh round picks could be packaged together to get a sixth round pick. Then you package two sixth round picks to get a fifth round pick. You can move up until you can't find a trade partner!. Or you use the seventh round picks and try to sneak some Russian players out of their country. The Wings have done it before.

  13. 7th round Red Wings draft pick mysteriously leaves Russia. Large shipment of vodka arrives in Russian port!
