Edmonton Oilers Trade Deadline Rundown | Line-Up Notes For Oilers/Sabres
The Oilers Fanatic goes over all the latest in Oil Country!! #Oilers #LetsGoOilers #EdmontonOilers #NHL #NHLTradeDeadline #TradeDeadline #KenHolland #AdamHenrique #SamCarrick #TroyStetcher #CoreyPerry
Is rig 72 up and running tomorrow. Hopefully these deals work out. I can see some major house cleaning this summer if the boys don't make it past the first round.😮
With the additions this year, the Oilers are now one of the oldest teams in the league. It's reminding me of the Tampa Bay Lightning teams. I think this is a good thing but we shall see.
Prior to these latest trades they had really good chemistry. The formula was about as good as it can get. It's difficult and dangerous to mix it up too much. Remember the new coke flop -they messed with the winning formula! In this case the Oilers previously dealt with the wrong ingredient and it had an immediate and awesome impact for the better.
Ken Holland was saying that we was going al in this year and if this 3 players is al in for edmonton then I just think that The player in edmonton gonna be playing golf realy early this year 2 llloooolll for god sake why didnt we go for players like mantha or duclair or some wery wery good players now we have adam 34 years old hendruike ans sam carrick and a defensmen that I never ever have even heard The name of before llooll edmonton can just forget to win The Stanley cup whit this cind of players llolll 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Well the Oilers were set, yes they needed some holes filled. I think they did that without breaking up the nucleus they had going. Great content Patrick. Thanks for your update 👍 😀
Anything short of putting together a bonafide All-Star team, you're always going to want to have added more. This team is in good shape on paper. The question now is, how will they perform in the playoffs.
They can be #1 in the NHL without losing a game, and it wouldn't matter, because everyone knows that the playoffs, are a completely different beast. I hope the past 2 years of playoff losses, is enough for these guys to have learned, and enough to light that fire, to get them over the hump.
I am glad the DID NOT get a goalie. Ok Fleury would have been an asset but I think Skinner is our Fuhr. Lets win a cup with the young mofo. Love that guy.
Would have liked to see an upgrade on Ceci. I also don’t think outside Tanev any real worth while upgrade was available. I hope we get Ceci back with Nurse. As much as I like Desharnais, paired with Nurse they are lost, slow to react and Desharnais trying to communicate with Nurse on ice is a pure fail. Re-watch the Cbus game if you don’t know what I’m referring too.
Get Stecher into at least a few games soon I say. There'll be some adjustments for the D for sure, but six games with non-playoff teams in the other conference are coming up this month (don't want the D corps readjusting in games against conference opponents).
The truth of the matter is it’s hard to play on the oilers because unless your the best players in the world you aren’t making our top two and if you do it’s extremely tough teams are playing harder than ever when Edmonton is in town and playing with Mcdavid and or dri is hard for most players. I think a lot of players could have came but would they flourish on oilers like they were on there designated teams? Would ebs be that much better than Warren? Sure ebs scores in playoffs but would he do that on the third line or fourth for eddy and be much better than janmark or warren? Probably not folks so keeping this the same was smart plus they have the tightest team in the league essentially friend wise it could destroy this team if you start throwing players away. Great ep pat
I like the additions we got and that we didn’t lose anyone to do it.
As for the Vegas thing, I heard that it’s possibly cause stone has a worse injury and may not be returning at all because of it, but that’s just rumours as no one knows anything just yet.
I think Oilers are in better shape than last year given we have more depth, injuries are going to happen and we needed to fill that hole with fresh players ready to fill in.
I’m very disappointed in the deadline, I thought for sure Holland would’ve done more big moves being his last year but all he did was overpay for a 3rd and 4th line center. Needed another top 4 d and a 2nd line RW and didn’t get either, don’t see how anyone would be pleased after this weak deadline.

That 3rd line is interesting & tough, but very slow.

Jets and Oilers conference final

Until the new guys get 10 games in to evaluate how they fit. Solid third line that addresses last years loss to Vegas. Thanks for the update
Vegas going out in the first round???
Are they even going to make the playoffs?
Pathetic the management are
I hope troy replaces ceci

It's gonna be tough to get out of the west.
Ones Holland is gone from the oilers you see big moves with a new gm in 5 years the oilers have done noing

I'm glad Eberle signed with the Crackheads lol we don't want him back
The best outcome of this trade deadline is Holland did not ship any players out. We still know what the Oilers can do what the lineup up.
