Why do they always say players are going to play with crosby and pop off. How many forwards have the pens brought in just to do nothing, zucker, rackell, granlund, galchenyuk none of them did amazing.
Can someone explain to me why people are saying Dubas was fleeced or messed up here? Genuinely curious, I don’t see it that way.

The 2nd round pick is Philly's that Canes got when they traded the rights for DeAngelo for a 4th, a 3rd and a 2nd.

The 2nd rounder they’d get in the case CAR doesn’t make the final is Philly’s pick, so it’d be higher than CAR’s. Also Dubas didn’t trade down last year either and you guys were going on about he would, just saying lol

Totally agree with Adam on Bunting. I think he has the potential to be really good with Crosby or Malkin cause he’s already shown he can play with elite players
People are forgetting that Crosby pushed the team to resign Letang and Malkin, when the team should have either traded, or left them walk. He can be upset that the team couldn't keep Jake, but at the same time, he kinda put them in the position they are in.
The pick the pens traded to SJS for Karlson is top 10 protected…. FYI I bet Guentzle re signs this summer.
Pens are trying to retool and go for it again next year. I think any assets they pick up this year will be for the future & some to flip for next years run

Ville Koivunen has NHL contract but his contract includes a European Assignment Clause. He has played in Finnish elite liiga and done 21+34 in 57 games. Sebastian Aho did 20+25 in 45 games in his last year in the Finnish league before came to NHL.
I really hope they can get rid of Smith and Rakell too, and I'd be alright giving back Accari.

This is the exact reason Canes fans have been so antsy for a trade the last couple deadlines. We have a world-class scouting team, so much so that we can give away three objectively great prospects and not even feel a dent in the pipeline. So so happy to finally see us actually cash in on all those years of hoarding 1sts and constantly finding NHL talent in the lower ends of the draft

It's been almost a full season, but glad to see Leafs fans still fall under either 2 categories – Kyle Dubas fanboys or Kyle Dubas haters. There is no in-between.
Sid didn't sound to happy. I think he knows the season is pretty much over for our Pens. Got to start a rebuild somewhere. Hated to see Guentzal go though. Hope it's just a rental, don't want to face him in the Metro for the next several seasons.

Koivunen is projected to having top 9 upside. Needs to improve skating though. It’s Lucius who was scouted as maybe not translating to the NHL game
14:40, the canes didn’t get “smoked” by Florida. The goal differential throughout the series was 4 and 2 games went to OT, and game 4 probably should’ve gone to OT. Much closer series than the numbers show

Bunting will be flipped next deadline with term for one or two good assets and Koivunen is having one of the best U21 seasons in the Liga in almost 30 years, he leads the entire league in scoring over the last 3 months as a 20 year old and has total 55 points in 57 games
